EXETER

Race 1 – TRELAWNE 7/4

TRELAWNE (3) drops back in standard after a close second in the G2 Towton Novices Chase at Wetherby. Bold bid anticipated with proven Graded form.

TAHMURAS (1) is a former Tolworth Novices Hurdle winner. Well-beaten finishing behind at Chepstow in latest which suggests he may struggle against the main selection.

CREBILLY (4) was a fair fourth at Cheltenham when last seen. Place.

THE KING OF RYHOPE (2) maintains each way claims. Managed third attempting the G2 Towton Novices Chase in latest.

Race 2 – LOWRY’S BAR 6/5

LOWRY’S BAR (3) pursues fifth consecutive success. Justified favouritism scoring by 4.5L at Chepstow in a handicap hurdle last time and taking a step up in grade switches to novice conditions company.

HASTHING (1) bids for a hat-trick. Previously placed at Grade 2 level. Bold bid anticipated after a novice hurdle win at Catterick.

JOSH THE BOSS (2) unseated when running well in the G2 Winter Novices Hurdle at Sandown Park during December. Place. HOME FREE (7) holds each way claims. Finished third behind a good winner at Huntingdon in latest.

Race 3 – FUN FUN FUN 5/4

FUN FUN FUN (5) travels from Ireland and represents a leading yard. Winner of a maiden hurdle at Thurles resuming then followed up with a good second among Listed company at the same track. Benefits from mares allowance and rates a top chance.

LOOKAWAY (1) was a useful second in the G1 Challow Novices Hurdle late December. This looks a strong form-line.

FAVOUR AND FORTUNE (2) finished second in the G1 Tolworth Novices Hurdle at Aintree where the winner has since placed second among Listed company. INSURRECTION (3) holds each way claims returning to tougher competition.

Race 4 – GOSHHOWPOSH 9/4

GOSHHOWPOSH (11) seeks third win in four starts following a Wincanton success. Brings excellent form and may prove difficult to beat on current mark.

HITITI (6) finished runner-up past two outings including a 2.25L defeat at Plumpton. Drawing closer to another well-deserved win.

GOWEL ROAD (2) was a useful third at Lingfield when last seen. Holds each way claims. SHALLOW RIVER (12) could sneak into the frame again producing four placings from last five outings.

Race 6 – WAYFINDER 11/1

WAYFINDER (13) can be effective from bottom of the weights. Two placings the past four outings however will need to produce a clean round of jumping.

RAMSES DE TEILLEE (8) returned after a ten month absence finishing fourth in a similar contest. Well-beaten. Entitled to improve for race fitness.

CELEBRE D’ALLEN (6) has been freshened for two months after a good fourth at Aintree. Place. RUN TO MILAN (15) rates an each way contender following a second in similar conditions. Tougher ask.
