CARLISLE

Race 4 No9 WISE EAGLE (Each Way)
Trainer: Adam Nicol – Jockey: Ryan Mania

WISE EAGLE has very few miles n his racing clock giving his room for progression even at the age of nine. He returns from a break of almost six months but with fitness unlikely to be an issue he can earn at double figure odds.

Race 5 No3 POTTERS CHARM (Nap)
Trainer: Nigel Twiston-Davies – Jockey: Sam Twiston-Davies

In an intriguing three cornered affair POTTERS CHARM can make it two from two over fences. He displayed a tendency to jump right when reappearing at Worcester but that trail, if repeated, shouldn’t present any problems for him on this right-handed course. A high class novice over hurdles he is one of the big hopes racing out of Grange Farm Stables this season.

Race 6 No1 GUARD THE MOON
Trainer: Nigel Twiston-Davies – Jockey: Sam Twiston-Davies

Representing the same connections, GUARD THE MOON can show his effectiveness when fresh on this return to fences. Seeking a first time back triumph for the third year in succession he is still inexperienced as a chaser, and having worked and schooled well should prove hard to beat.

WORCESTER

Race 2 No7 IDALKO BIHOUE (Each Way)
Trainer: Nigel Twiston-Davies – Jockey: Toby McCain-Mitchell

The Twiston-Davies bandwagon rolls in with IDALKO BIHOUE who is the joker in the pack in this two and a half mile handicap chase. The eight-year-old is back from an enforced absence of almost two years but has always been well thought of by his trainer and remains young enough to realise his potential.

Race 4 No3 RED OAK (Nap)
Trainer: James Owen – Jockey: Jonathan Burke

RED OAK ended last season with a winning performance at Hexham and embarks on the current campaign going straight into a handicap for his first outing over fences. He is effective at this minimum distance and is fancied to make a winning return.

HUNTINGDON

Race 5 No. 4 RUMOURSAREFLYING (Each Way) Trainer: Pam Sly – Jockey: Robbie Dunn

Locally trained RUMOURSAREFLYING has yet to win over fences here and ran poorly when last seen back in the spring. Having said that he was a three times winner over fences and appeals as the value angle in an interesting race for betting.

Race 7 No5 CHARLIE MY BOY (Each Way)
Trainer: John Jenkins – Jockey: J Quinlan

CHARLIE MY BOY hinted at a return to form when troubling the judge on his latest start here, providing evidence that he can repeat his course success in the spring over a much longer trip.
