PLUMPTON

Race 3 No9 MOVEIT LIKE MINNIE (Each Way)

Trainer: Nigel Twiston-Davies – Jockey: Nico de Boinville

de Boinville is an interesting booking for the mercurial MOVEIT LIKE MINNIE who after a series of earning runs finally returned to winning ways at WNCANTON, for which he is 3lb higher. The nine-year-old failed to menace on his only previous visit to this course but plenty of water has flowed under the bridge since then.

Race 5 No1 SHALFA (Nap)

Trainer: Lydia Richards – Jockey: Marco Ghiani Goldstein

Dual purpose mare SHALFA did us a good turn with her success from 3lb lower here earlier in the month when she appreciated the better ground. She cuts back slightly on the distance ladder, but another big run is in the offing before she returns to the Flat.

STRATFORD

Race 1 No3 HORNICA (Nap)

Trainer: Ben Pauling – Jockey: Beau Morgan

HORNICA wasn’t able to convert when dropped in class at Ludlow, but her previous earning form nevertheless stands up well in today’s grade. She’s back against mares which should help make it a straightforward assignment.

Race 2 No1 JUGGERNAUT

Trainer: Anthony Honeyball – Jockey: James Robottom

There’s a frustrating side to JUGGERNAUT who though a dual scorer over jumps is struggling to add to that tally. Since his success here in the autumn of 2024 he’s been placed in each of his eight starts, five of them over fences. The key today is a return to this course and in a hurdle.

Race 4 No5 ILLOGICAL LOGIC (Each Way)

Trainer: Christian Williams – Jockey: Mr J Murphy-Knight

ILLOGICAL LOGIC is another that has frustrated his followers but there are reasons to believe this could be pay day. This marathon trip will play to his strengths as will the better ground, while there were excuses for his poor run at Taunton. His best efforts and only career success have happened on a left handed track like this.

Race 6 No4 PARK ANNONCIADE

Trainer: Sarah Humphrey – Jockey: James Bowen

In receipt of 6lb from Bond Broker, PARK ANNONCIADE can take the spoils. He was an impressive scorer at Huntingdon and in more likely to run to his form than his top weighted opponent.
