NEWCASTLE

Race 4 No3 SILVER HILL (Nap)
Trainer: Jamie Snowden – Jockey: Gavin Sheehan

Jumping returns to Gosforth Park with a tricky card for wagering. The only bet is Lambourn raider SILVER HILL, who was a dual winner over hurdles last season whilst finishing second twice from only five outings. He’s been well tutored for the switch to fences and can prove more than a match for four northern-trained foes.

BANGOR-ON-DEE

Race 1 No4 MR MACKAY (Nap)
Trainer: Nigel Twiston- Davies – Jockey: Toby McCain-Mitchell

MR MACKAY will receive the best assistance from the saddle in this conditional jockeys’ handicap hurdle. The chestnut returns from a long enforced lay off but is ready for the task in hand. At seven he has a good future in front of him, while he carries stable confidence to post.

Race 2 No8 SITTIN ONA FORTUNE
Trainer: Philip Hobbs- Jockey: Sean Houlihan

Point winner SITTIN ONA FORTUNE has given off some good signals in his work ahead of a first run under Rules. He was sourced from a top acolyte of his trainer’s in Ireland, and can give paper favourite RATTLIN HOME plenty to think about.

Race 4 No9 GLEN ROAD (Each Way)
Trainer: Joel Parkinson – Jockey: Peter Kavanagh

From a yard that provided us with a well backed winning Nap on Sunday, GLEN ROAD needs respecting on his return to the fray following a short and fruitless first crack at chasing. The four times hurdles winner is better than he showed, has slipped to a workable mark and is definitely a horse to follow.

CATTERICK BRIDGE

Race 1 No3 MUVE ON (Nap)
Trainer: Tim Easterby – Jockey: David Allan

On what can prove a productive day for the Easterby stable MUVE ON can open his account in this 1000 metres maiden to be run in soft underfoot conditions. He chased home a couple of decent types at Ayr from which he’s gone forward, and this easy course is just what he wants.

Race 2 No1 BLADEY LADY
Trainer: Tim Easterby – Jockey: David Allan

BLADEY LADY gets a fine chance to make the 1200 metres nursery a fourth win from her last five outings. She took to this track like a duck to water at the end of last month, and from a cracking draw just needs to show that she can handle some cut in the ground.

Race 3 No9 BLUE JAY WAY (Each Way)
Trainer: John Riches – Jockey: Ethan Tindall

One to consider at a working man’s’ price is BLUE JAY WAY, who scored at this venue a year ago and looked ready to win again with a podium finish at Wolverhampton from which he can progress.

WOLVERHAMPTON

Race 4 No5 SAISONS D’OR (Each Way)
Trainer: Jedd O’Keeffe- Jockey: Joe Garritty

On a night when it will hopefully pay dividends to follow grey horses, veteran SAISONS D’OR can roll back the years. The eleven-year-old provided evidence that he’s ready for a return to the winners’ circle when second in an identical race at the end of last month on only a second visit to Dunstall Park. He’s well drawn and there’s probably still some mileage in him from his current mark.

Race 7 No7 PRODIGAL SON (Nap)
Trainer: Heather Main- Jockey: Hector Crouch

The blinkered PRODIGAL SON posted a 22-1 shocker on his latest outing at Newmarket to top and tail a season that started with the grey scoring at Bath back in April. While his turf form is unquestionably better, he’s worth supporting on what is only his fifth outing on the all-weather.
