NEWMARKET

Race 1 No3 PRESENT DREAM (Each Way)
Trainer: David Menuisier – Jockey: Saffie Osborne

Menuisier has a couple of well regarded juveniles still to run and PRESENT DREAM might reward speculative support having shown promise in her preparatory work. Saffie Osborne is an eye taking booking for the daughter of Minzaal who can outrun her lofty price.

Race 6 No1 MUQARRABIN (Nap)
Trainer: Charlie Appleby – Jockey: William Buick

MUQARRABIN made no mistake on his debut at Kempton and should remain unbeaten under a penalty in a race where owners Godolphin also field newcomer AL LABHAB. The half million guineas purchase will enjoy an important experience edge on his four opponents.

Race 7 No8 WOLF BAY (Each Way)
Trainer: Alan King – Jockey: Harry Vigors

In the best betting race on the card WOLF BAY should give a good account. Importantly the Lope Y Fernandez gelding upped his game when moved up in trip on testing conditions at Haydock. It’s a precipitous forecast in the Newmarket area and any further softening in the ground is good news for him.

WORCESTER

Race 5 No4 SAPPHOS WORD
Trainer: Jamie Snowden – Jockey: Gavin Sheehan

Point winner SAPPHOS WORD proved expensive to follow in bumpers when she was twice turned over at odds on. With a summer on her back and having schooled well at home she can start to recoup the losses on this first run over hurdles.

Race 6 No4 LIMIER D’ARTHEL (Nap)
Trainer: Philip Hobbs- Jockey: Harry Cobden

Bumper winner LIMIER D’ARTHEL showed a tendency to race with the choke out when sent novice hurdling last season. He nevertheless ran well to trouble the judge at Exeter and Newton Abbot and looks one to follow now in handicaps. In the colours of JP McManus the hooded five-year-old is fancied to deliver.

FONTWELL PARK

Race 1 No7 TREAD CAREFULLY (Nap)
Trainer: Nigel Twiston-Davies – Jockey: Sam Twiston-Davies

A bet I’m looking forward to is TREAD CAREFULLY who looked unlucky not to score over hurdles last season. He almost certainly would have prevailed but for crumpling on landing at Southwell and had the misfortune to run into a tartar when proving no match for Emerald Breeze on a final start at Market Rasen. Granted his obvious ability he can’t remain a maiden for long.

Race 2 No1 CHATTY GIRL
Trainer: Alex Hales – Jockey: Bryan Carver

Bumper winner CHATTY GIRL put in a few good efforts in defeat when sent hurdling, including when second on her latest outing at Market Rasen. A mare by Derby winner Harzand, she can make the switch to fences a winning one in the colours of Bloomsbury Stud.

Race 6 No1 COUNTY CHAMPS
Trainer: Chris Gordon – Jockey: Fern O’Brien

A step up in trip could prove just what the doctor ordered for COUNTY CHAMPS who can open her account on an eighteenth outing over hurdles. The Champs Elysees mare repelled all bar Winston’s Oath over two miles three here earlier in the month but is now stretched out another quarter mile.

KEMPTON PARK

Race 5 No2 HOT FUSS (Nap)
Trainer: Tom Dascombe – Jockey: Pierre-Louis Jamin

HOT FUSS is 3lb higher than for his ready Ascot triumph which happened after a long mid season break. The five-year-old has been campaigned almost exclusively at Grade 1 courses, and was a winner on his last AW run at Southwell in the winter of 2025.

Race 7 No7 AMELIA’S JOY
Trainer: Michael Herrington – Jockey: David Probert

AMELIA’S DREAM enjoys a plum draw for this 1200 metres sprint round a right handed bend. The three times winner in 2026 was short headed on her latest start òver course and distance and brings strong credentials to the table for a trainer who knows his salt.

Race 8 No5 BERLINETTA (Each Way)
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: Billy Loughnane

Channon fired in a 20-1 scorer at Wolverhampton earlier in the week and has claims for further joy from BERLINETTA. the Pinatubo filly was a winner at Windsor in the summer, and though failing to justify strong support on a first AW start for her trainer at Newcastle can bounce back aided by the addition of cheek pieces.
