Neil Morrice shares all of his best bets and tips for Sunday’s racing coming your way from Sedgefield on 18 October 2026.
SEDGEFIELD
Race 4 No3 RED DELTA
Trainer: Fiona Needham – Jockey: Brian Hughes
RED DELTA showed himself to be a progressive staying chaser last winter when he won at Market Rasen and finished a staying on third in Newcastle’s Eider Chase. Although underwhelming on his final outing at Haydock he’s a fine prospect for Nationals, and can kick off with a victory in this Durham version.
Race 7 No2 BATELEUR
Trainer: Oliver Signy – Jockey: Gavin Sheehan
BATELEUR graduated out of a well regarded point yard as unbeaten in that sphere and is interesting now making his debut under Rules from a new stable. He’s worth a market check at the very least against odds on rival PARKSIDE LILY.
