NOTTINGHAM

Race 1 No1 RUNMAN (Nap)

Trainer: John Gosden – Jockey: Oisin Murphy

RUNMAN ultimately made quite hard work of preserving his unbeaten record when defying a penalty at Epsom where he seemed uncomfortable on the undulations. He now competes under a double penalty, but taking into account the different nature of this track whilst granted how highly he’s ranked at Clarehaven Stables he is taken to complete a hat-trick.

Race 3 No11 LABICHE (Each Way)

Trainer: Henry Candy – Jockey: Rossa Ryan

LABICHE could be one that’s gone quietly under the radar and needs to be afforded a market check. When third on his reappearance at Lingfield he wasn’t knocked about and the effort is there to be stepped up on over this longer trip.

Race 5 No5 ZIATA

Trainer: Ed Walker – Jockey: Kieran Shoemark

Walker is enjoying a good month wring his horses nicely running into form ahead of Royal Ascot. ZIATA has troubled the judge on each of her three starts and might have been let into this lightly off an initial mark of 70. She stands out as the form pick in a contest that’s probably less competitive than at first sight.

NEWCASTLE

Race 2 No6 LITTLECOTE (Nap)

Trainer: Andrew Balding – Jockey: PJ McDonald

While LITTLECOTE has had a few chances she can be excused a defeat at Wolverhampton when she and the very useful winner SHAYHANA came 15 lengths clear. I doubt there’s a filly of that ilk in opposition today.

Race 3 No5 LEHAB PRNCE

Trainer: Andrew Balding- Jockey: PJ McDonald

Newcomer LEHAB PRINCE is bred to be speedy, being a son of the former champion sprinter Blue Point. Racing in the colours of Saeed Suhail, he can endorse with a victory the promise he’s shown in his work at Park House.

LINGFIELD PARK

Race 1 No2 PLEASANT MAN (Each Way)

Trainer: Joey Ramsden – Jockey: Finley Marsh

Joey Ramsden’s PLEASANT MAN is on a long losing run, but twice ran well here in the winter and also when returning to grass and making the podium at Doncaster. He’s well drawn for a horse that can force the pace, and has the right jockey on his back to be competitive.

Race 6 No7 FRANCISCO (Nap)

Trainer:  Patrick Chamings – Jockey: Charlie Tucker

FRANCISCO did us a good turn when supplying his jockey with a first winner at this course in April. He appeared to benefit from a strong gallop set by a rival who came back, and though higher for his efforts can now cope with remaining  at 1400 metres.

HEXHAM

Race 2 No6 CONQUER THE BREEZE (Nap)

Trainer: Adam Nicol – Jockey: Ryan Mania

You have to like CONQUER THE BREEZE who is a winner over fences and placed over them on many occasions. He’s a dual course and distance winner, proven on its undulations and stiff finish and ready to consolidate.

Race 6 No6 THEWOODCORNER

Trainer: Nicky Henderson- Jockey: James Bowen

THEWOODCORNER can justify his long trip from Lambourn and take this handicap hurdle for top connections. He’s two from five over hurdles and has his tail up following a wide margin triumph at Ffos Las.

HUNTINGDON

Race 6 No2 J’ENVOIEVALSERENKI (Nap)

Trainer: Luca Morgan – Jockey: Mr James King

In the concluding hunter-chase J’ENVOIESERENKI can prove a bet worth waiting for. He’s a young horse for this division who has landed two points for his trainer and goes to post with both a tongue strap and visor added. It looks like he means business.
