HALF HALF holds UN INSTANT on Grand Handicap De Deauville form from two weeks ago and can take this step up in grade in his stride. He’s been a model of consistency in 2026, and although fully exposed is more likely to run his race than most of the others in a weak Group 3.
Race 4 LUCIEN BARRIERE GRAND ORIX DE DEAUVILLE (Group 2)
No7 MAZZALA
Trainer: Yan Barberot – Jockey: Maxime Guyon
MAZZALA impressively took out a Group 3 here last month to stretch his unbeaten run to four. The son of Frankel is riding on the crest of a wave, and in Deauville’s final marquee race of the summer Festival can see off the attentions of ARROW EAGLE.
Race 5 BARRIERE PRIX DE MEUTRY (Group 3)

Returning from a mid season break, DOSTOIEVSKY can prove the answer to an open affair. He took out a Group 3 at Chantilly when last seen in May and now has his sights set on some big end of season sprints. He can take the spoils at the main expense of sole UK challenger INTO THE SKY, for whom Jim Boyle has booked Pierre-Charles Boudot.
