Race 3 No1 PREMIER FANTASY (Nap)
Trainer: Nicky Henderson Schofield – Jockey: Sean Bowen
A breathing operation has assisted PREMIER FANTASY to raise his game with a couple of near misses, latterly over fences at Stratford. The six times point winner should enjoy a return to hurdling, with fences likely to be backed on his agenda going forward.
Race 5 No4 ETERNAL ANGEL
Trainer: Tom Lacey – Jockey: Stan Sheppard
In a very tight knit affair ETERNAL ANGEL represents value. Though edged out when odds on for a novice hurdle at Market Rasen last time that was in a falsely run affair in which his conqueror was able to dictate. My selection should find a more competitive playing field to his advantage in a bigger field today.
HAMILTON PARK
Race 2 No7 AURA OF MELANIA (Nap)
Trainer: Roger Fell – Jockey: Mark Winn
Early foal AURA OF MELANIA deserves a change of luck after troubling the judge several times this year. The daughter of Naval Crown goes well in the easy conditions, but what can make a difference to her is tackling 1000 metres for the first time.
Race 6 No8 BRADBURY
Trainer: Ed Bethell – Jockey: Billy Loughnane
The mercurial BRADBURY put in a rare moderate showing on his latest start at Nottingham but the Leicester and Wetherby scorer can bounce back with the addition of Loughnane in his saddle. While he needs to show that he handles cut in the ground, this is his optimum trip, while the uphill run to the line should suit him on a first visit here.
Race 7 No6 DANDY’S ANGEL
Trainer: John Wainwright – Jockey: Jason Hart
Recent course form can prove the key to the nightcap in which DANDY’S ANGEL is taken to reverse placings with UNCLE LIAM. While the last named horse was a wide margin winner, DANDY’S ANGEL put in her best work at the finish and in this rematch looks a value entity now 5lb better off.
