LEICESTER

Race 1 No6 BRADBURY
Trainer: Ed Bethell – Jockey: Jack Callan

BRADBURY has twice succumbed to Vietnorm at this level when he should have won. He appeared to doss in front when caught on the line at Ripon and then veered right and left when hitting the front at Beverley to underline his reputation of being a tricky ride. His trainer equips him with an eyeshield today, and as long as it’s the Mr Jekyll and not the Mr Hyde that turns up his supporters should collect.

Race 3 No6 MOTTARET
Trainer: Tim Easterby – Jockey: Harry Russell

MOTTARET ran green when claiming a minor cheque on debut at Redcar and is going to be more streetwise. He’s bred to enjoy longer trips but should have the speed required to go close over this 1400 metres.

Race 4 No2 JELLYSTONE PARK
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: Rob Hornby

JELLYSTONE PARK looked unruly on his latest outing at Newbury when bolting to the start, throwing his jockey and covering a good part of the round course before being caught. Channon puts a hood on this very speedy type, who if on his best behaviour should open his account.

Race 7 No11 WOODSTOCK CITY
Trainer: Ian Williams – Jockey: Edward Greatrex

WOODSTOCK CITY has shown better form on the AW and was last see on been denied by inches at Lingfield. He’s enjoyed a freshening break and figures to be a player racing from the base of the handicap.

CARLISLE

Race 5 No1 EPIDAVROS (Nap)
Trainer: Katie Scott – Jockey: Rowan Scott

After three earning runs this season EPIDAVROS should be fully primed to go well in this fillies’ handicap. The mare scored on one of two visits here and is set to reward each way support under a jockey that knows and gets on with her.

PONTEFRACT

Race 1 No5 FOREVER NOAH
Trainer: Joey Ramsden – Jockey: Matthew Slater

FOREVER NOAH likes to race close to the pace and things have fallen nicely into place for him in terms of the lack of depth of this contest and his handy draw. It was only by a neck that he was denied as an 18-1 roughie at Southwell last time, and from a mark just 1lb higher he can go one better.

Race 5 No1 SEVENTY (Nap)
Trainer: Ross Burdon – Jockey: Daniel Muscutt

The regular earner, SEVENTY went down fighting in a tight finish at Windsor for which he’s only 1lb higher. He’s seeking a sixth podium finish in succession, and faces rivals that are mainly out of form, making him a worthy favourite.

WINDSOR

Race 1 No8 FROM THE HIP (Each Way)
Trainer: Mark Usher – Jockey: Tyler Heard

FROM THE HIP put in a solid earning run on his Haydock reappearance where he was doing his best work at the finish. It served up encouragement that the Ardad colt can be as effective on grass as he is on sand, while the run should have brought him to concert pitch.

Race 3 No1 BAYAANN (Nap)
Trainer: William Haggas – Jockey: Tom Marquand

BAYAANN looks to hold the cards in this first division of the novices, and should take care of business. The son of Too Darn Hot lost his unbeaten record to a useful foe when returning at Newmarket but is now in calmer waters, and it’s hard to spot a danger.

Race 5 No8 CYRANO DE BERGERAC
Trainer: John Gosden – Jockey: William Buick

The Godolphin-owned CYRANO DE BERGERAC found another gear once the penny dropped on his first start at Lingfield. He finished best of all in third, and granted normal improvement should prove too strong for a field that includes 750,000 guinea yearling ASTERIAL.

Race 6 No9 SOCIETY KISS (Each Way)
Trainer: John Mackie – Jockey: Saffie Osborne

Although she’s the least experienced in the field, SOCIETY KISS needs taking seriously on a first handicap assignment. She met trouble in running yet flew home when obtaining her mark at Southwell, and can demonstrate with the win this evening that she was unlucky.
