UTTOXETER

Race 2 No6 PARTY VIBES (Nap)
Trainer: Henry Daly – Jockey: Adam Wedge

This stable posted a good winner on Friday to end a lean spell and PARTY VIBES can give it another fillip. She chased home the useful Jackpot D’Athou on Rules debut at Chepstow after proving easy to back. It was a very solid effort, creating a good platform for her to build on.

Race 3 No2 BROOMFIELD PRESENT
Trainer: Kim Bailey – Jockey: David Bass

BROOMFIELD PRESENT proved strong in the market but after hitting a flat spot stayed on when the birds had flown at Exeter. The visored seven-year-old should have learned plenty from that experience, and is just preferred to paper favourite Autonomous Gold in a race the pair can dominate.

Race 5 No4 KANKIN
Trainer: Alex Hales – Jockey: Kielan Woods

The money that came for KANKIN proved well-aimed when he scored on his first outing over fences at Huntingdon. It was a reward for a number of near misses by the gelding over hurdles, and suggests he could be a better chaser.

EXETER

Race 2 No1 GETAWAY THEATRE (Nap)
Trainer: Stuart Edmunds – Jockey: Ciaran Gethings

Former winning pointer GETAWAY THEATRE made no mistake on her Rules debut at Stratford for which she carries a 7lb penalty. It will be a surprise if she isn’t holding the cards to enable her to follow up against the paper favourite Hamartia.

Race 3 No7 MORIKO DE VASSY (Each Way)
Trainer: Jane Williams – Jockey: David Noonan

MORIKO DE VASSY seemed to completely lose his way last season and moved stables during the summer. Although well beaten back over hurdles and on debut for his trainer in the Welsh Champion Hurdle he can build on that confidence restorer. He’s a well-handicapped horse but needs to show he’s still got it.

Race 4 No3 MOT A MOT (Each Way)
Trainer: Sam Thomas – Jockey: Charlie Deutsch

Another enjoying a change of scenery, MOT A MOT can revisit past glories on his first outing in more than a year. After a wind operation the grey scored on debut for Thomas at Newbury only to underwhelm on his first run over fences at Bangor. He’s pleased in his preparation and will enjoy the track, trip and ground.

Race 5 No2 ORCHARD GROVE (Each Way)
Trainer: Kerry Lee – Jockey: Richard Patrick

Also coming back from a lengthy absence, ORCHARD GROVE appeals as a lightly raced improver for a trainer who can get one ready. He ran up a four race winning sequence as a novice over hurdles and owing to breathing issues needs to prove his fitness on this first outing for 16 months.
