LINGFIELD PARK
Race 1 No6 MAGICAL LIFE
Trainer: Stan Moore – Jockey: William Cox
Stepping up to a mile helped MAGICAL LIFE notch a first career win at Kempton where she blew away her foes in the straight, only to pick up a 6lb rise. Her prospects of going back to back have been greatly assisted by a rail draw, putting her in the right place to dominate.
Race 5 No2 PURE PASSION (Nap)
Trainer: Stuart Williams – Jockey: Jack Doughty
PURE PASSION a has a turf success at Yarmouth to her name and ran well in defeat when second in a classified here last week. She’s back at the minimum trip in a handicap and has the pick of the draw to turn in close to the leader. She should pick off any leaders in the short straight.
CATTERICK BRIDGE
Race 4 No6 PREFERRED (Nap)
Trainer: Tom Tate – Jockey: PJ McDonald
Masar filly PREFERRED shows good natural speed considering her sire is a Derby winner. Having troubled the judge on both starts so far she can open her account, aided by the addition of a hood.
WINDSOR
Race 2 No9 FAIRY WELL
Trainer: Jane Chapple-Hyam – Jockey: Rossa Ryan
FAIRY WELL didn’t have the pace to reel in Coat Of Red at Leicester but her second placing over that 1200 metres was a good effort to offer hope she can down a shot priced favourite here in the shape of MITHAALY.
Ryan is an eye taking booking for the Dark Angel filly.
Race 3 No5 BLACK VELVET BOY (Nap)
Trainer: John Quinn – Jockey: Jason Hart
BLACK VELVET BOY has been running over a stiff 1000 metres and looked better the further he travelled at Beverley. He’s surely not making the long journey from Middleham just for the goodness of his health and is strongly fancied to follow up.
WOLVERHAMPTON
Race 1 No9 REDREDROBIN (Each Way)
Trainer: Malcolm Saunders – Jockey: Edward Greatrex
Veteran sprinter REDREDROBIN suffered three heavy defeats before showing some of her old sparkle when second as a 20-1 roughie at Brighton. On a first visit to Dunstall Park in four years she can again get into the shake-up.
Race 3 No4 WONDERVISION (Nap)
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: George Bass
Frame finishes in two outings at Grade 1 tracks make WONDERVISION of particular interest in this first division of the nursery. The Minzaal filly attracted plenty of support on the latest at Goodwood and has been given time to grow into her frame since that end of May effort.
Race 5 No8 STYLE KING
Trainer: Chris Dwyer – Jockey: Silvestre De Sousa
STYLE KING was a course and distance scorer here when making most of the running to hold on gamely in early July, before finishing second under waiting tactics at Lingfield. The money for him that went west that day can now be recouped, as he has the right man in his saddle to get the job done.
Race 7 No9 JAMES CHOICE
Trainer: Warren Greatrex – Jockey: Edward Greatrex
One or two crack the eye at the base of the weights including JAMES CHOICE a who has earned on three of his five starts and gives every impression of need g further. After a near miss at Southwell he’s up to a mile and a half today, and fancied to open his account.
