PONTEFRACT

Race 3 No5 AMERICA QUEEN
Trainer: Richard Hughes – Jockey: Danny Tudhope

The featured Flying Fillies Stakes can see AMERICA QUEEN gaining some more black type. She had ROYAL FIXATION a place behind her in the Group 3 Summer Stakes at York where she might have fared better had she not done too much from the front. It’s likely she can sontrol affairs on this stiffer track, with the Knavesmire form having worked out.

Race 5 No2 FLUORESCENSE
Trainer: Ed Bethell – Jockey: Oisin Orr

FLUORESCENCE put in a seasonal best when third at Hamilton and might have finished closer but for being hampered when launching her run. She’s 2lb higher but clearly operates on a stiff course. She can get the better of BADRI, whose winning spree came to halt last time but is perfectly capable of bouncing back, as we have seen before.

Race 6 No6 CAMPEONA (Nap)
Trainer: Sir Mark Prescott – Jockey: Luke Morris

Once getting her head in front CAMPEONA really turned a corner, completing a quick fire hat-trick from a 2lb lower mark at Lingfield.

While her margin of victory was only a neck, it was gained in a manner that suggests the daughter of Study Of Man is going to relish today’s big step up the distance ladder. In this interesting contest she can stave off the challenge of SIXTY PLUS, who looks to make this a fourth win on the bounce.

SOUTHWELL

Race 2 No9 HERETIC (Each Way)
Trainer: Michael Herrington – Jockey: David Probert

HERETIC managed to get himself beat in a March when starting 4-9 at Yarmouth but on reflection he was always going to be there to be shot at. The habitual front runner can fare better in this Inver field and back on the AW.

Race 6 No7 SPACE PARTY (Nap)
Trainer: Henry Candy – Jockey: Nicola Curry

SPACE PARTY looks to hold the cards for the in form Candy stable. He showed promise to trouble the judge on his Doncaster introduction and bettered that when chasing home a subsequent winner at Windsor. He’s primed to the minute for this.
