DONCASTER

Race 2 No9 DREAM VEGA
Trainer: Ed Walker – Jockey: George Downing

DREAM VEGA was too green to do herself justice on debut at this track but has learned from that experience. This relative to a multiple winner in Dreamloper will be more streetwise, is proven at 1400 metres and will enjoy the underfoot conditions.

Race 3 No1 KENNETH (Nap)
Trainer: John Gosden – Jockey: Rab Havlin

KENNETH was too keen for his own good when reappearing at Southwell, proving costly to those punters that backed him into 8-11. He has a tongue tie added for this move up to a mile and a half, and can overcome the promising filly NOCHEBUENA to recoup the losses.

Race 5 No10 WRYDCROFT
Trainer: Pam Sly – Jockey: Rose Dawes

WRYDCROFT makes a lot of sense granted his overall record of four wins from only six outings together with a good effort in defeat at Newmarket last month. He put in a no nonsense performance to score here in April when ridden close to the pace, and I suspect it could be a carbon copy effort from him today.

SALISBURY

Race 2 No5 BLUE PRINCE (Nap)
Trainer: David Evans – Jockey: Billy Loughnane

BLUE PRINCE left me with singed fingers when given a lot to do on holding ground at Goodwood last week, but though in a stronger race today I’ll back him to recoup the losses. It’s a long time since his triumph at the 2024 Qatar Goodwood Festival but he strikes me as a horse that’s ready to win, and with Billy Loughnane doing the steering there should be no excuses.

Race 4 No6 QUEEN OF ITHACA
Trainer: Ed Walker – Jockey: Rossa Ryan

As a 500,000 guineas purchase one would expect QUEEN OF ITHACA to possess the quality required to go close on this first public outing. I understand the daughter of Lope De Vega has been training well in Lambourn, in which case she might be popular in the overnight market.

Race 7 No6 FAIR DINKUM
Trainer: Jeremy Scott – Jockey: Taryn Langley

FAIR DNKUM is a rare runner on the Flat from his stable but has the credentials to go well, having been beaten in a tight finish here last time. The four times scorer stays well and enjoys a healthy weight concession from his main opponents.
