WINDSOR
Race 4 No7 SEACOLE (Nap)
Trainer: Ralph Beckett – Jockey: Rossa Ryan
As the most experienced filly in the field, SEACOLE can put her best foot forward and rates best bet on this card. The daughter of Sea The Stars followed three straight frame finishes with a disappointing effort over course and distance, but that was in a handicap. With the addition of cheek pieces and a return to novice company she can put it behind her.
Race 8 No6 DARKENED EDGE
Trainer: Christopher Mason – Jockey: Gina Mangan
DARKENED EDGE enjoys a pull In the weights which can enable the mare to turn around recent course and distance placings with FAUSTUS. The selection had earlier delivered at Bath and Chepstow and could hardly be in better form, although most of her best efforts have happened on a faster surface than today’s.
THIRSK
Race 2 No6 BLADEY LADY (Nap)
Trainer: Tim Easterby – Jockey: David Allan
In what could prove a good day for Great Habton, BLADEY LADY can supplement her success over CLARET TIME on nursery debut at Newcastle. The Nap started as an unconsidered 28-1 chance but there appeared to be no fluke about the victory. She’s in good hear for this second run in a handicap.
Race 5 No7 HATAMOTO
Trainer: Tim Easterby – Jockey: David Allan
HATAMOTO made all when scoring over a mile here before running a blinder in defeat when pulled back to 1400 metres at Redcar. He’s well drawn to enjoy a handy early position, and if again ridden positively can get into the shake-up.
Race 6 No9 VEGA’S VIRTUE
Trainer: Tim Easterby – Jockey: David Allan
VEGA’S VIRTUE can make this a third success from her last four outings. The Lucky Vega filly is proven at the 1600 metres trip and at this grade, making her dangerous operating from the base of the handicap.
SEDGEFIELD
Race 5 No10 JOTO (Each Way)
Trainer: John Dawson – Jockey: Danny McMenamin
Jumping issues have plagued JOTO who receives a speculative vote for this handicap hurdle. She wasn’t at her best on a recent visit to Worcester but that was on a return from a break. Before unseating twice, the mare had earlier earned in three straight races over hurdles and can do better under an eye taking jockey booking.
KEMPTON PARK
Race 3 No1 DECALOGUE
Trainer: Jamie Osborne – Jockey: William Carver
First time cheek pieces can make a difference to DECALOGUE, who has improved from race to race in four outings in 2026. He put in a career best to chase home A La Noche at Salisbury, and just needs to show he can perform to a similar level on sand, having underwhelmed on it in all three starts last season.
Race 4 No6 RUPERT THE BRAVE
Trainer: Oliver Cole – Jockey: Kieran Shoemark
Godolphin’s Thirsk scorer NATIONAL HONOUR is respected under a penalty but might find RUPERT THE BRAVE too hot to handle. The selection proved easy to back when making a podium finish at Newbury but he’s going to be more streetwise, while the addition of a tongue strap can also assist his chance.
Race 6 No1 ENCORE (Nap)
Trainer: William Haggas – Jockey: Harry Davies
ENCORE didn’t seem as happy on the track as her conqueror Sunday Girl when making her debut for Haggas at Windsor. Plenty of support followed the Hello Youmzain filly onto the course that day, but she’s learned from it, and should reward her connections with a first career win on this switch to Polytrack.
Race 7 No7 HOT SILK (Each Way)
Trainer: James Fanshawe – Jockey: Oisin Murphy
HOT SILK has struggled to live up to her blue blooded pedigree but this is a good opportunity for the daughter of Too Darn Hot and Silk Sari to break her duck. She underwhelmed when out of the money on her latest start here, but now cuts back in trip and makes appeal getting weight from her six opponents.
