13/06/2022 – Monday’s Best Bets and Tips

Neil provides us with his best bets and tips for Monday’s race meetings at Carlise, Lingfield Park, Windsor and Nottingham on 13/06/2022.

CARLISLE – 13/06/2022

Race 7 No6 COAXING (Nap)
Trainer: David Barron – Jockey: Ben Curtis

Outstrip filly COAXING bolted up at Catterick when attracting strong market support. Now that she has confidence in her ability she can start to run up a sequence, and looks the best bet on this tricky card.

LINGFIELD PARK – 13/06/2022

Race 1 No7 BIRD FOR LIFE
Trainer: Mark Usher – Jockey: Isobel Francis

BIRD FOR LIFE was beaten a whisker at Wolverhampton last month on a first venture away from Southwell in 2022. The mare can now make this a third career win at Lingfield, where she operates well at this stage of the season.

Race 4 No6 SWIFT LIONESS
Trainer: Mark Johnston – Jockey: Joe Fanning

Newcomer SWIFT LIONESS is the subject of favourable reports and it would be no surprise to see her score on her debut. She’s closely related to a handful of winners, some of whom showed precocious speed as juveniles.

Race 5 No6 DALBY FOREST
Trainer: David Simcock – Jockey: Callum Shepherd

Although he’s squandered a couple of good winning chances, DALBY FOREST is the one to be on in this sprint handicap, having run well on turf debut at this venue at the end of last month. His trainer can exact the small amount of improvement out of him to take care of business.

Race 6 No8 AEONIAN (Nap)
Trainer: Sir Michael Stoute – Jockey: Cieren Fallon

AEONIAN found himself in a warm novice when finishing third to Phantom Flight at Haydock and has derived great benefit from that seasonal return. He’s been working well, and can swoop to conquer on this first outing in a handicap.

Race 8 No5 PATROON (Each Way)
Trainer: Denis Coakley – Jockey: Ron Hornby

The addition of cheek pieces could make all the difference to PATROON, who showed ability in his early starts last season before going off the radar when last seen in November. The patient approach of his connections can now pay off.

WINDSOR – 13/06/2022

Race 3 No1 CAIRN GORM
Trainer: Kevin Philippart De Foy – Jockey: David Probert

CAIRN GORM can illustrate that he was a shrewd purchase at the Sales by scoring on debut for his trainer under top weight in this Class 3 handicap. The Bated Breath colt returns at a grade lower than he has faced before, and must have a strong chance of landing the spoils before graduating onto better things.

Race 5 No10 HEXAMETER (Nap)
Trainer: Roger Varian – Jockey: David Egan

HEXAMETER faces a stern test against Tathbeet but is more experienced than that foe, and better equipped to get the job done for a triumph that will elevate her value as a broodmare.

NOTTINGHAM – 13/06/2022

Race 1 No5 MIDNIGHT FLAME (Nap)
Trainer: Tom Ward – Jockey: Richard Kingscote

Dark Angel filly MIDNIGHT FLAME shaped well on her debut at Goodwood when easy to back. In spite of not attracting any support she stayed on well to trouble the judge, and will be more streetwise for this clash with the equally promising Miska.

Race 6 No1 PRIDE OF HAWRIDGE
Trainer: Rod Millman – Jockey: Ross Coakley

Millman counts the colours carried by PRIDE OF HAWRIDGE amongst the dearest to his heart and looks to have found a good opportunity for the four-year-old to resume winning ways following a promising first run back when in the money at Windsor.

Race 7 No2 NEVERBEEN TO PARIS
Trainer: Pat Murphy – Jockey: Saffie Osborne

Dual purpose horse NEVERBEEN TO PARIS picked up a minor cheque in a better race on Saturday, and if showing no ill effects in this quick reappearance can notch a first win on the Flat in more than four years.
