NOTTINGHAM

Race 3 No5 NOBLE MASTER

Trainer: William Haggas – Jockey: Cieren Fallon

In a maiden that has featured some classy recent winners a market check is advised on NOBLE MASTER. The son of Australia will appreciate every yard of the extended mile run in testing conditions and can get into the shake-up.

Race 4 No8 OOLONG POOBONG (Each Way)

Trainer: Ed Bethell – Jockey: Callum Rodriguez

In the best race on the card OOLONG POOBONG can take away a cheque. The daughter of Make Believe was a heavily backed winner of a Class3 at Thirsk and in no way disgraced when troubling the judge in Listed company at Redcar which puts her right in the mix for a stable that’s going great guns.

Race 7 No3 SWEET KISS (Nap)

Trainer: Tim Easterby – Jockey: Miss Amy Collier

SWEET KISS was a most deserving winner when carrying my vote at Redcar, and in the same grade has to be taken seriously as today’s track, trip and ground are perfect for the Ulysses filly.

NEWTON ABBOT

Race 2 No3 VOL ROYALE (Nap)

Trainer: Kayley Woollacott – Jockey: Sean Bowen

VOL ROYALE missed out when Aintree fell to the elements at the weekend but this winner of three of his last four outings might better enjoy these calmer waters, in which he has a good chance to obtain an easy early lead. The tight track will also play to his strengths.

Race 5 No4 SINCHI ROCA

Trainer: Syd Hosie – Jockey: Charlie Deutsch

SINCHI ROCA won at Wincanton and was placed in four of his other six starts after joining Hosie. He regularly attracted support, making him one to have on your side on his return from a 200-day absence.

HUNTNGDON

Race 2 No2 CURRENT EDITION

Trainer: Nigel Twistn-Davies – Jockey: Sam Twiston-Davies

Former pointer CURRENT EDITION put in another good run when second on his seasonal return at Uttoxeter, and granted his ability to act with some cut in the ground he should prove the answer to this maiden hurdle.

Race 3 No5 BELLA CEVENA

Trainer: Henry Daly – Jockey: Sam Twiston-Davies

BELLA CEVENA is unbeaten for Daly and has a fine chance to make it two from two out of her Downton base. Interestingly the Mount Nelson mare scored on her first run back last season, and should be fit for a first race in more than 400 days.

Race 5 No7 NORTHERN ROSE (Each Way)

Trainer: Gary Hanmer – Jockey: Joe Anderson

This is an open novices’ handicap hurdle but NORTHERN ROSE appears to have been overlooked in the betting. She had every chance when falling on her latest start at Uttoxeter and had earlier won and been placed at the same track.

KEMPTON PARK

Race 8 No1 MAJESTIC (Each Way)

Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: George Bass

Veteran MAJESTIC isn’t the same force that won in Bahrain two years ago but aside from his howler here last time he picked up place money on three of five starts on grass this season. It could be worth supporting the eight-year-old to bounce back.
