Majborough heads the betting for Wednesday’s Queen Mother Champion Chase, and Michael Owen believes the favourite could prove too strong for the field if his jumping holds up under pressure.
The Queen Mother Champion Chase is the highlight on Wednesday of the Cheltenham Festival. MAJBOROUGH is the favourite, and to be honest, I do think that he is a class apart from the rest. The only question is MAJBOROUGH’s jumping. Of course, this is a fast race over two miles and over big obstacles. If your jumping isn’t on song, then you can get caught out.
LEAU DU SUD is another to keep an eye on. My old boss, Sir Alex Ferguson, owns a piece of this one. He’s obviously a very solid horse and has a chance. I think the one that we’re all screaming home is IL ETAIT TEMPS of Hollywood Racing.
But I do think that MAJBOROUGH is the one to beat if his jumping stands up to the test, then I think he’s the one that all of this field have got to beat.
