WARWICK

Race 2 No2 WILSTAR (Nap)
Trainer: Olly Murphy – Jockey: Sean Bowen

WILSTAR absolutely hacked up at Southwell when accounting for the useful Tread Carefully, and although a penalty means life is tougher he can make it back-to-back successes on the way to better things. The two years younger TALAKAN is getting 17 lb from the Nap but his presence makes Bowen’s mount a bigger price.

Race 3 No8 KING AL
Trainer: Alan King – Jockey: Thomas Bellamy

Ludlow scorer KING AL has scope for improvement off that third career start in a clash with the equally promising WONDERING WHY. Though the King jumping team is not as strong as it once was this looks a good opportunity, and the four-year-old can follow up.

Race 5 No4 IRISH CHORUS
Trainer: Alan King – Jockey: Thomas Bellamy

IRISH CHORUS has posted a win and a second on her last two starts and might have finished closer at Taunton had her jumping been slicker. Given the rub of the green she can take the spoils at the main expense of BOBBI’S BEAUTY.

CARLISLE

Race 2 No5 HILLCREST (Nap)
Trainer: Henry Daly – Jockey: David Bass

Although he is a shadow of his former self, there was flicker of the old HILLCREST when he finished second at Uttoxeter which at least shows he’s on good terms with himself for this clash with TOMMY’S OSCAR. The eleven-year-olds are seeking their first success of the season and I just prefer the former who is giving away 16lbs.

Race 6 No2 DISCO ANNIE
Trainer: Rebecca Menzies – Jockey: William Maggs

DISCO ANNIE left the cash behind when last seen over fences at Market Rasen in January, but though generally out of form the eight-year-old can raise her game with the help of first time cheek pieces. She’s taken a drop in the ratings and should enjoy reverting to hurdles in this mares’ only contest.

Race 7 No4 GREATER GLORY
Trainer: Mrs C Coward – Jockey: Mr Joe Wright

Although this is his first appearance in a year, GREATER GLORY had smart pointing form when last seen including at Hutton Rudby. He has his tongue tied down for this clash with HOLLYWOOD HARMON whose Fakenham defeat by Stattler is strong form and helps make the market for the selection.
