SOUTHWELL

Race 3 No3 JAVA POINT
Trainer: Lemos Souza – Jockey: Mr F Philipson-Stow

JAVA POINT regularly competed at the Grade 1 tracks when handicap chasing for a different trainer, and though getting longer in the tooth can build on his recent Ludlow success in which he emerged from the fog clear of his foes. He is the type that can do well on the hunter-chase circuit.

Race 5 No7 TREAD CAREFULLY (Nap)
Trainer: Nigel Twiston-Davies – Jockey: Sam Twiston-Davies

TREAD CAREFULLY couldn’t live with the impressive Wilstar when backed to beat that rival over course and distance last month but now finds himself with a gilt edged opportunity to deservedly open his account and he should seal the deal.

KEMPTON PARK

Race 1 No5 MYTHICAL VALENTINE
Trainer: Andrew Balding – Jockey: Callum Hutchinson

MYTHICAL VALENTINE failed to cut the mustard on his final of two outings at this course last year but now takes a class drop. While this race will afford him a handicap mark, he is well drawn and should benefit from a step up in trip as his pedigree is all about stamina.

Race 5 No5 ICONIC TIMES
Trainer: Heather Main- Jockey: Billy Loughnane

With cheek pieces added and all the better for his second run back, course and distance winner ICONIC TIMES could prove the answer. He seemed to go off the boil in his final races in 2025 but there are clear signs that he’s on the cusp of a revival.

Race 6 No6 SPANISH VOICE (Nap)
Trainer: Andrew Balding – Jockey: Callum Hutchinson

The best bet on this card is SPANISH VOICE who is one to follow in handicaps after his dismissal of weak opposition on his Lingfield return. He produced a smart turn of foot to put the race to bed and with few miles on his racing clock possesses any amount of scope for progression.

WOLVERHAMPTON

Race 4 No6 ISLA BELLA (Each Way)
Trainer: Joey Ramsden – Jockey: PJ McDonald

ISLA BELLA rarely lets the side down in her quest for bringing home a cheque, and whilst an infrequent winner is worth supporting to gain a first success for her trainer for whom she’s been placed in two of three visits to Dunstall Park.

Race 6 No7 INSUSPENSE
Trainer: Oliver Cole – Jockey: Hollie Doyle

INSUSPENSE has been narrowly beaten on her last two starts which makes her arguably the form pick for this Class5 sprint. She will receive the best assistance from the saddle and can thwart last week ‘s course and distance scorer BINT HAVANA GOLD, who is taking a class jump.

Race 7 No9 FOREVER NOAH (Nap)
Trainer: Joey Ramsden – Jockey: PJ McDonald

FOREVER NOAH paid the price for going off too fast at Southwell last week but this consistent performer figures to be dangerous if making the best of a cracking draw on a drop back to 1000 metres which will assist his claims.

Race 8 No2 THREE ON THURSDAY
Trainer: Tony Carroll – Jockey: Jack Doughty

Belardo filly THREE ON THURSDAY can prove the answer to the nightcap following a near miss over the course last month, when she was the meat in the sandwich of a blanket finish. Her trainer has campaigned her over varying trips, and though stepping up to a mile and a half from a mile she’s capable of handling it.
