LINGFIELD PARK

Race 2 No8 ELFORLEATHER (Nap)
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: George Bass

ELFORLEATHER had it won everywhere bar the post at Hamilton last week and looks to have been found a good opportunity to put the record straight in a weak race over the same trip. He looked as bright as a button when cantering up the all-weather on Monday, suggesting he has taken that trip to Scotland with no ill effects.

Race 4 No4 GRISELDA
Trainer: George Scott – Jockey: Callum Shepherd

GRISELDA made the perfect start to her career in handicaps when inching home at Pontefract, a run which saw a step up on the three outings that gained her a mark. The daughter of Kodi Bear has the plum slot on the rail to dominate for a stable that is doing extra well with its juvenile runners.

CATTERICK BRIDGE

Race 1 No5 EASY PEELER
Trainer: John Quinn – Jockey: Jason Hart

EASY PEELER made a bright start to her career when chasing home a smart and more experienced foe at Ripon. Granted normal improvement from that first offering the daughter of Due Diligence should now open her account.

Race 2 No1 CHUTI MANIKA (Nap)
Trainer: Charlie Johnston – Jockey: Joe Fanning

CHUTI MANIKA is well drawn to attack on this second visit to the track, having shaped with considerable promise to earn on his Ayr debut. The son of Magna Grecia looks one of the better bets of the day, and can outpoint Newmarket raider Tactical Plan.

LEICESTER

Race 5 No7 INHERIT (Nap)
Trainer: Sir Michael Stoute – Jockey: Richard Kingscote

Easily the nicest horse on view at this meeting is INHERIT. The Kingman filly brings strong form to the table after placing on both starts this year at Yarmouth and Newmarket. This return to seven furlongs on a first handicap venture should suit, and as long as she runs as well as she’s been working at home she should win.

Race 6 No8 GRECIAN GOD (Each Way)
Trainer: Mark Usher – Jockey: Jason Watson

It will be interesting to see what Watson can do on GRECIAN GOD, whose form if repeated gives him every chance of downing a couple of unexposed rivals from top-ranking stables. The selection has claimed a cheque in his last two races at Kempton, and if taking to this turf course should again finish in the money.

SALISBURY

Race 2 No1 PRIAPOS (Nap)
Trainer: Ralph Beckett – Jockey: Rossa Ryan

Zoustar colt PRIAPOS made no mistake after attracting support on his Windsor introduction, and has learned plenty from that experience. He returns to action under a penalty which makes life tougher, but he has the wherewithal to surmount it and remain unbeaten.

Race 6 No1 CHERRY COLA (Each Way)
Trainer: Sheena West – Jockey: Rose Dawes

CHERRY COLA has been a standing dish in apprentice races such as this, and with regular pilot Dawes retaining the mount can make the small amount of progression from her latest earning start at Bath that’s required for her to post a first success of the season. The Sixties Icon mare may have most to fear from Fair Dinkum, whose jumps-biased stable does well with its runners on the level.
