RIPON
Race 6 No6 AMBER HAMUR (Nap)
Trainer: Ed Bethell – Jockey: Connor Beasley
AMBER HAMUR has thrived for a change of scenery, winning and finishing second on her two outings for Bethell. Her move onto grass has part been responsible for that and though higher in the weights she can supplement her Hamilton win, where she landed some good bets.
NOTTINGHAM
Race 3 No6 DISSENTER
Trainer: Marcus Tregoning – Jockey: Ashley Lewis
DISSENTOR showed a willing attitude when opening her account on a second career start at Chepstow and should have learned plenty from it. The daughter of Kodi Bear heads straight into a nursery under an apprentice who is good value for his 5lb claim, and she can follow-up.
Race 5 No3 DEL CORSO (Nap)
Trainer: Ed Walker – Jockey: Kieran Shoemark
DEL CORSO had troubled the judge in each of four starts this year before deservedly opening his account as a long odds-on shot over course and distance last month. That success could well have opened the floodgates for the Dubawi gelding to run up a sequence.
WINDSOR
Race 3 No3 ARDNAMURCHAN (Nap)
Trainer: Henry Candy – Jockey: Nicola Currie
Ardad filly ARDNAMURCHAN proved easy to back on her Leicester introduction but nevertheless shaped with a deal of promise to come away with a minor cheque. She contested the lead until the final 100 metres and was beaten around a length and a half in a blanket finish. Granted normal progression she has strong claims to take out this maiden in the colours of her trainer.
Race 4 No4 HAVANA HALO
Trainer: Dominic Ffrench Davis – Jockey: Oisin Murphy
HAVANA HALO needs to up her game but could do that in a race that’s cut up and will certainly not take much winning. She has the champion jockey doing the steering, and although well held in her two previous races this year has the ability to be competitive.
Race 5 No6 TIGER BEETLE (Each Way)
Trainer: T Faulkner – Jockey: Zoe Lewis
TIGER BEETLE is a rare runner on grass and yet to win for his current handler, but there was evidence in a recent earning run at Chepstow that he’s ready to end a long losing sequence that goes back more than two years.
