The Spanish tennis star had already pulled out of the French Open, which runs from May 24 to June 7, as he continues to recover from the injury.

Making the announcement on his Instagram account, Alcaraz wrote, “My recovery is going well and I’m feeling much better, but unfortunately I’m still not ready to compete, which is why I have to withdraw from the grass-court swing at Queen’s and Wimbledon.

“They are two truly special tournaments for me, and I will miss them a lot.

“We’ll keep working to come back as soon as possible.”

Alcaraz has become one of the best tennis players in the world at a very young age and is already being mentioned alongside some of the biggest names in tennis history. The Spanish star won his first Wimbledon title in 2023 after defeating Novak Djokovic in a five-set final 1-6, 7-6, 6-1, 3-6, 6-4.

He defended his title in 2024 by defeating Djokovic once again in the final. Alcaraz also won his first French Open title in 2024 after beating Alexander Zverev in another hard-fought five-set match, winning 6-3, 2-6, 5-7, 6-1, 6-2.

His skill, confidence, speed, and fighting spirit have made him one of the most exciting players to watch and a fan favorite around the world.

Not having Alcaraz play at this year’s French Open and Wimbledon will make the tournaments less entertaining because he always brings excitement and keeps tennis fans talking, especially when he faces his biggest rival, Jannik Sinner.

The two young stars have created one of the most exciting rivalries in tennis as they continue battling for the world number one ranking. Sinner dethroned Alcaraz as world number one at the Monte Carlo Masters on April 12 after defeating him in straight sets, winning 6-4, 6-3.
