The Brazilian forward, whose current deal expires in 2027, said both he and the club remain relaxed about negotiations and are taking their time before discussing an extension.

“I’m in no rush to renew my contract,” Vinicius said during an interview with Cazé TV. “I have it until 2027, so there’s still a lot to discuss with Real Madrid and Real Madrid has a lot to discuss with us.

“Real Madrid is calm, I’m calm. The president trusts me, and I trust him.”

The 25-year-old’s future has been the subject of debate in recent months after reports linked him with a massive offer from Saudi Arabia. Questions over his long-term future intensified further following an emotional reaction during October’s Clasico win over FC Barcelona, when Vinicius angrily headed down the tunnel after being substituted by then-manager Xabi Alonso.

Despite the speculation, Vinicius has repeatedly stressed his desire to remain in Madrid and again underlined his emotional connection to the club.

“I’ve never imagined myself away from Real Madrid,” he said. “It’s my dream club and I want to stay here for the rest of my life. But I’m not in a hurry to renew my contract.”
