FFOS LAS

Race 1 No1 ON EDGE
Trainer; Christopher Mason – Jockey: Billy Loughnane

Eight race winner ON EDGE is away from his preferred track of Chepstow, but with Loughnane taking the reins he can notch a first win at this course. He’s been in terrific form since a near miss here last August since when his figures read 222101.

Race 3 No5 WEST BYFLEET (Nap)
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: Billy Loughnane

WEST BYFLEET shook aside the issues that had kept his movements restricted to be seen coming back at a well supported winner at the finish of his second career start at Goodwood. He’s subsequently gone forward in his work, but will need to be at his best to repel ENGLISH TIME in a race this pair can dominate.

Race 1 No4 RACING DEMON ( Each Way)
Trainer: Ed De Giles – Jockey: William Carver

RACING DEMON attracted support but couldn’t quite get the job done at Chepstow. That was easily his best effort of the season however, and signals that he’s on the cusp of an overdue return to winning ways.

BEVERLEY

Race 1 No1 FERN CLYDE (Nap)
Trainer: Tim Easterby – Jockey: David Allan

FERN CLYDE carries a 4lb penalty and gets a hood added following her success in a Pontefract maiden. She enjoyed the stiff uphill finish in South Yorkshire and should also relish the climb to the line in this switch to the eastern part of the county.

Race 7 No4 BRAIN FREEZE
Trainer: Michael Dods – Jockey: Rhys Elliott

Redcar scorer BRAIN FREEZE has gone up 5lb since that triumph and also finished in the money at Ripon. She’s taken her form to a new level, and needs the greatest respect as she attempts to consolidate.

NEWTON ABBOT

Race 5 No2 WALKIN OUT (Nap)
Trainer: David Pipe – Jockey: Sean Bowen

The only bet on a card that’s been affected by the heat wave, WALKING OUT looks a tasty proposition with the champion jockey in her saddle. The mare won a point at Brayton Down to confirm her well being, while it isn’t often that you see Bowen riding horses out of Pond House Stables, which is a tip in itself.

NEWBURY

Race 4 No6 HAVANA HALO ( Each Way)
Trainer: Dominic Ffrench Davis – Jockey: John Egan

HAVANA HALO is a massive price for this all aged handicap, but on seasonal reappearance is worth a speculative bet. The daughter of Havana Grey was not seen at her best on her latest outing at Southwell, but she’s had time to mature physically and mentally, and on a return to turf can raise her game.

Race 6 No3 BAILEYS KHELSTAR (Nap)
Trainer: Charlie Johnston – Jockey: Oisin Murphy

BAILEYS KHELSTAR would be a deserving winner of this granted near misses in three of his last four outings this season. The confidence behind him is increased as the form of his last three starts has been boosted. Furthermore he’s going to be suited by this galloping track, and gets the two miles well.
