Race 2 No1 DERRYGARRAN LAD
Trainer: Julie Camacho – Jockey: Ryan Sexton
DERRYGARRAN LAD went down fighting over a mile on his second start at Newcastle. It was a step up from his first offering and he can cope with the drop back to 1400 metres for this first outing on grass.
Race 5 No2 BE PATIENT (Nap)
Trainer: Ed Bethell – Jockey: Danny Tudhope
BE PATIENT showcased his versatility and did this column a good turn when moved onto grass over a longer trip and scoring on handicap bow at Doncaster. He’s 6lb higher but looks a bright prospect who can continue his winning sequence.
NEWTON ABBOT
Race 6 No2 NO MORE NO (Nap)
Trainer: Mrs L Hill – Jockey: Brendan Powell
NO MORE NO is looking for a fourth win in his last five outings, and that sequence could have been greater had he not spent time on the injury list. After successfully returning from a lengthy lay off at Southwell he’s strongly fancied to defy a 3lb higher mark.

Race 5 No2 BREAKING COVER
Trainer: Anthony Honeyball – Jockey: Sam Twiston-Davies
BREAKING COVER probably needed the run when claiming only a minor cheque at Uttoxeter. He became outpaced but is effective over this minimum trip when on song, and that outing will have made him fitter.
Race 7 No3 LUCY THE WIRE (Nap)
Trainer: James Owen – Jockey: Alex Chadwick
LUCY THE WIRE reacted positively to the fitting of cheek pieces to score with something up her sleeve at Worcester. As the youngest candidate for this mares’ handicap hurdle she has the greatest scope for progression, and can follow-up.
