LEICESTER

Race 1 – BARON DE MIDLETON 4/7

BARON DE MIDLETON (1) bounced back to winning ways with an 8L success in a Market Rasen handicap hurdle. Bold bid anticipated in a very open contest.

FOVEROS (2) has been given a short freshen up since a well-beaten sixth of ten at Wetherby in handicap hurdle company. Faces easier opposition.

POZO EMERY (4) was pulled up on first two starts of the campaign. Previous form puts him in the mix. BELIEVE JACK (6) holds each way claims after a handicap selling hurdle win at Market Rasen. May find one or two better.

Race 3 – ROGER POL 6/4

ROGER POL (3) sets the form standard with a win and two seconds from three starts since a break. Reverts to novice company following a very competitive second in a handicap hurdle at Ascot. Top chance.

AWAYTHELAD (1) has improved with each run since a lay-off. Broke through for a 6L success at Ludlow last time and steps up with assistance of conditional claim.

BENNETTSBRIDGE (4) resumed after an eight month break with a fourth in a Fakenham maiden hurdle. Can progress again. ROCKET RONALD (7) was second on sole start at this track. Interesting with improvement to come.

Race 4 – COOLEENYMORE 9/4

COOLEENYMORE (5) has placed twice from three starts since a break including a third in a Wincanton novice handicap hurdle. In the mix again.

WALK OF NO SHAME (1) broke through for a 5L success at Southwell and held her form when third at Newbury subsequently. Place chance with a hefty weight. Conditional claim assists.

NELL’S BELLS (3) could improve from a reappearance fifth at Kelso when beaten 52L.

Race 5 – NOCTE VOLATUS 3/1

NOCTE VOLATUS (3) is ready to break through for a success after three consecutive placings. Faces similar opposition and was only beaten 5L into third at Newcastle latest.

SHELDON (5) showed improvement when scoring by 1.75L at Wincanton. Takes a step up in class. Bold bid anticipated.

OXYGEN (6) was denied a hat-trick when fourth at Plumpton latest. Been in good order prior and can bounce back. GRANDADS COTTAGE (1) holds each way claims if replicating form of recent third at Aintree.

Race 6 – PASSING KATE 11/2

PASSING KATE (6) broke through for a good win at the track before finishing second at Ffos Las. Deserves to take a step up in class.

LADY BALKO (7) has been racing consistently in recent months. Steps up in trip following a solid fourth at this track and should appreciate the stamina test. Capable.

JO LESCRIBAA (2) was a useful third in a novice hurdle last time. Place contender. MINI YEATS (1) holds each way claims as top weight. Switched to handicaps when fourth at Wincanton latest. Interesting.
