FFOS LAS

Race 1 No7 TEDLEY (Nap)
Trainer: Nigel Twiston-Davies – Jockey: Finn Lambert

TEDLEY has outperformed his price on three of the four occasions he’s raced this season and is going to be more in his comfort zone in an opener that shouldn’t take too much winning. Lambert got a good tune out of him at this course before Christmas, when his narrow defeat by Tedtwo rates as easily the best form in the contest.

Race 3 No7 TUNE IN A BOX
Trainer: Tom Lacey – Jockey: Cameron Iles

TUNE IN A BOX was a snug scorer at Wetherby last week and now makes a swift return in pursuit of a hat-trick under a 7lb penalty. Due to go up in the weights next week, the grey has taken his exertions well, and should make no mistake.

Race 4 No2 PIMLICO POINT
Trainer: Kerry Lee – Jockey: Richard Patrick

PIMLICO POINT came back from a second wind op to finish second to Wiseguy on his chase debut at Exeter. He’s been given time to get over that first outing in eleven months and is fresh and fancied to go one better. The former Irish point winner remains thoroughly unexposed, and should have more to offer.

WINCANTON

Race 2 No8 GOODTIMECREW (Each Way)
Trainer: Harry Fry – Jockey: Jonathan Burke

Several hood claims in this stayers’ novices’ hurdle, in which the best value lies with GOODTIMECREW. The former Irish pointer beat Larchmont Lass on one of the two occasions they met in bumpers, yet is carded to start three times the price of that foe. And while her run behind Pawapuri here in November has been devalued, she is going to relish a big step up in trip today.

Race 3 No7 STEEL ALLY (Nap)
Trainer: Sam Thomas – Jockey: Sam Twiston-Davies

STEEL ALLY has been all dressed up with nowhere to go since an underwhelming run at Ffos Las for which no excuses were forthcoming. He’d previously been unlucky not to win at the same track, while skipping a race last week owing to unsuitable ground. He can take full advantage of the 6lb he receives from the penalised Dartmoor Pirate.

CHELMSFORD CITY

Race 2 No2 GAIDEN (Nap)
Trainer: Richard Hannon – Jockey: Rossa Ryan

GAIDEN has squandered a few opportunities, but as the highest rated in this fillies’ novice is worth staying with. She has a better draw than her market rival Rosy Affair, and enjoys the luxury of top all weather pilot Rossa Ryan in her saddle.

Race 5 No7 OUTGUN
Trainer: Alan King – Jockey: Rossa Ryan

OUTGUN has knocked on the door with a sequence of near misses but is now in a position to finally post a career-first success. He was only a half length shy of Goldsmith on his latest start at Wolverhampton over Christmas, and that’s good form to bring to the table.
