HUNTINGDON

Race 1 – HOKELAMI 2/1

HOKELAMI dominated with a 9L victory thirteen days ago at Sedgefield making it two from four with fences. Key player despite climbing in the weights.

Bidding for a hat-trick Ensel Du Perche reappears from a long break and remains realistically treated on figures. Respect racing when resuming.

Ingennio has twice made the frame over course and distance. Fresh from a wind operation he will be looking to improve on his third placed effort at Newcastle last month.

Race 2 – LIGHTENING MAHLER 5/4

Point-to-point winner LIGHTENING MAHLER made a successful start to her professional career with a nice 3L triumph at Hereford in January.

Disappointed next time at Warwick and since received wind surgery. Set to bounce back with a big run.

Moonlit Potter shed her maiden status with a narrow victory at Lingfield beating Bluella Bresil by a nose. The latter now enjoys a swing in weights and could easily reverse form.

Race 3 – TAP N GO LEO 13/10

TAP N GO LEO indicated potential placing on debut hurdling at Warwick before following up with a smooth 6L victory at Catterick. Major player making handicap debut.

Illico De Cotte presents a similar profile to the main selection. Got off the mark nicely in a Hereford maiden hurdle last month and is feared adopting first-time cheekpieces.

For Gina is a three-time hurdling winner and cannot be ruled-out.

Race 4 – STUMPS OR SLIPS 4/1

The lightly-raced STUMPS OR SLIPS has not competed since unseating his rider at Worcester last August. Already displayed plenty of ability with wins at Warwick and Worcester and his when resuming record reads well. Bold bid seems likely.

Calvic delivered a promising third of ten effort tackling the trip at Huntingdon. Enters calculations on second start.

Hector Jaguen and Family Business could both show improvement and may have a say in the outcome.

Race 5 – MY FRIEND SEAN 2/1

MY FRIEND SEAN was a beaten favourite when third on handicap debut at Doncaster after attempting to make all. The Tom Lacey trained gelding will have learnt plenty from that and could prove tough to beat here slightly up in trip.

Lifetime Legend tumbled down the weights since his sole hurdling success at Catterick. Wears a first-time visor and warrants a second look in the market.

Privatearing could run into the placings adopting first-time cheekpieces along with Paddy In The Caddy who is a solid each-way chance.

Race 6 – SAO CARLOS 7/2

In an open looking handicap consider penultimate start Wetherby maiden hurdle winner SAO CARLOS who could bounce back from a disappointing effort at Market Rasen. Can return to winning ways on handicap debut.

Sammy’s Guarantee was in contention before falling three from home eight days ago at Chepstow. Thereabouts attempting this slightly longer journey.
Course winner Samuel Spade is now eased in grade and feared.

EXETER

Race 1 – BIRDMAN BOB 9/2

BIRDMAN BOB brings excellent hurdle form and is clearly on a workable mark for this chasing debut. Rates a good chance if jumping cleanly adopting first-time cheekpieces.

Time To Bite was a course and distance winner in December and scored by 22L at Plumpton last time out. Up another 9.9lb this time. Warrants serious respect.

Moorland Rambler has been fairly well beaten in three chase runs but is beginning to look well treated. Won at this track hurdling. Interesting. Bottom weight Watchoututscookie is another chasing debutant to consider.

Race – HARD RAIN 7/2

Irish winner HARD RAIN has struggled in two outings for this stable. Now drops into a seller and holding the highest official rating is given another chance.

Foxey won a selling handicap by 7L in October. Since won tackling fences and brings leading claims if rebounding from a last start disappointment.

Nick The Greek was a shock winner of a Southwell novice with the runner-up boosting form subsequently. Remains unexposed. Player.

I’m Too Tired maintained good condition earlier in the season though form has tailed off since a January Sedgefield win.

Race 3 – MAHLAND 4/1

MAHLAND improved markedly to finish second stepping up to 2m7 1f at Ludlow in latest. Slightly shorter trip this time and is on a reasonable mark for this handicap debut. May go well.

Sun Joy opened his hurdling account attempting a 2m4 1/2f Huntingdon handicap in January. Not sighted since. Definite player from just 3.3lb higher.

Maximum Effort left earlier efforts behind when third in a Chepstow maiden hurdle last start. Consider on handicap debut.

Letthedustsettle went tackling a variety of trips in recent weeks and remains on a competitive mark.

Race 4 – PIRATES’ TALE 18/10

PIRATES’ TALE finished second contesting a jumpers flat race on debut during October. Shed his maiden tag in a hurdle over course and distance subsequently and remains open to improvement. Sound claims on handicap debut.

Classic Maestro won back-to-back handicap hurdles throughout January and February before finishing second attempting fences. Climbing in the weights. Demands respect.

Now Or Never failed to complete in two runs for this stable. Did look talented in France. Revival possible.

Race 5 – BAMPTON STAR 9/4

BAMPTON STAR was a course and distance winner on recent chasing debut. First-time cheekpieces he wore that day are retained and a 5.5lb rise in weights looks fair. Chance.

Born At Midnight has been raised a combined 1st1lb for two easy wins at Plumpton. Different test from a career-high mark but rates a major contender.

Course winner Gingerbred found success in a a 3m1/4f novices handicap chase at Ffos Las last month and finished second at Wincanton since. Now just 2.2lb higher.

Roger Rarebit bled when disappointing in latest. Previously looked progressive.

Race 6 – THE WOLF 11/10

Hunter chase debutant THE WOLF was competitive in Class 2 handicaps prior to mid-season wind surgery.

Multiple point-to-point winner Yippee Ki Yay won tackling course and distance on hunter chase debut six days ago. This is tougher however remains open to improvement. Dangerous.
