LINGFIELD
Race 1 – LOUISIANA BAY 9/2
LOUISIANA BAY backed up a narrow Southwell success with an excellent second tackling this trip at Wolverhampton.
Can return to winning ways under three-time champion jockey Oisin Murphy in the Enjoy The Racing App For Free Handicap.
With three wins on the all weather Beat The Heat warrants interest revisiting the flat having last been seen in this sphere securing victory at Bath in August.
Largo Bay may give a good account following a decent third-placed finish over 1m4f at Kempton, while Fullforward needs each-way consideration.
Race 5 – ARTHUR’S REALM 9/4
ARTHUR’S REALM returned to form when third in Doncaster’s Spring Mile last month and the Trustee Fire & Security Ltd Handicap looks another fine opportunity.
Ed Dunlop’s runner hit the frame on a number of occasions last year but has not actually got his head in front since April 2022.
However, there was much to like about his threequarter-length third in a competitive heat on Town Moor, particularly as he did not enjoy a totally clear run, and a 2lb rise might not be enough to anchor him.
Race 6 – HANNAH’S RETURN 3/1
HANNAH’S RETURN made it three wins from her past six outings delivering a smooth success over course and distance in latest.
Might secure a good early spot from stall three and follow up revisiting handicap company in the Sky Sports Racing Sky 415 Handicap.
Moorgate finished runner-up that day and holds obvious claims once more.
Five-time course winner Nordic Glory cannot be ignored having produced a solid second-placed finish at Wolverhampton.
Admirable Lad continues to run well over this distance and could be in the mix.
Race 7 – SOLDIERS DESIGN 9/2
The lightly raced handicap debutant SOLDIERS DESIGN is a John Ryan trained filly. Finished runner-up on stable debut attempting a five furlong maiden at Kempton last time and looks on a workable opening mark with improvement expected.
Narrow Southwell winner Via Blanca could remain competitive off this revised rating.
It would be tough to ignore Gogo Yubari who is two from three at this venue and ran well when third at Chelmsford last week.
Law Of Average scored readily over five furlongs at Chelmsford in November and must be considered.
MUSSELBURGH
Race 2 -SUNDAY SOLDIER 9/2
SUNDAY SOLDIER has been steamrollering her way through mares’ and novices’ company and has a five-timer in her sights in the Go North Lady Buttons Mares’ Hurdle Series Final.
The six-year-old kicked off her winning spree over just short of two miles at Musselburgh in December, adding another course-and-distance success in January before making a swift reappearance and slight leap in trip to follow up at Sedgefield.
She was 7lb well in that day but showed her revised mark of 106 was still highly workable when winning a Doncaster qualifier for this by 10 lengths.
Sunday Soldier has a further 8lb to contend with here and a longer two-and-a-half-mile trip, but she is firmly on an upward curve and having proven her ability to handle testing ground, another victory does not look beyond her.
Race 3 – TEORIE 7/1
TEORIE can take top honours in the Go North Grey Bomber Juvenile Hurdle Series Final.
Fergal O’Brien’s charge was a Flat winner for Jim Bolger last year before joining his current team and making a winning hurdles bow when hacking up in a qualifier for this contest at Catterick back in December.
He then headed to Musselburgh for another qualifier under a penalty, although that run ended with a disappointing fourth as his jumping was not so slick and he drifted across the track in the finish.
Teorie then took on older rivals at Southwell, where he secured a convincing victory, but the Fred Winter at the Festival proved a step too far and this lesser company can see him get back on track.
Race 4- CALL ME HARRY 7/1
CALL ME HARRY has a fine Musselburgh strike rate that can be further enhanced in the Go North Brindisi Breeze Hurdle Series Final.
Winner of two of his four starts at the track, he did not sparkle on his most recent spin in February when his jumping let him down a bit, but he cannot be dismissed lightly.
Race 7 – REFLECTION OF YOU 13/10
REFLECTION OF YOU makes debut under rules. Winning point to pointer who could prove an exciting prospect for connections in the Racing Post Mares’ Open National Hunt Flat Race.
Jewel Of Windsor travels from Ireland delivering first start under rules. Expected to be firmly in the mix.
Sagonige won at Sedgefield on debut in December. Interesting as brings the advantage of racecourse experience.
Beau Della holds each-way claims on racecourse debut. Watch market for best guide.
