LINGFIELD

Race 1 – EPIC EXPRESS 9/4

A 7.7lb rise in weights for winning over course and distance last time puts EPIC EXPRESS on a career-high mark though could prove equal to the task.

Looks set to complete a double under talented apprentice Adam Farragher in the Download The Raceday Ready App Apprentice Handicap.

A potential threat can come from top-weight Artician who is interesting on first attempt tackling the 6f journey since his two-year-old days. Brought plenty of dash when third at Kempton last time.

Southwell runner-up Masterclass might go well raised 1.1lb.

Race 4 – LANDLORDTOTHESTARS 13/2

LANDLORDTOTHESTARS could be ridden forward from this nice draw in stall two as there doesn’t look as though there will be much pace.

The City Of Light gelding finished a close-up fourth over 1m1/2f at Wolverhampton in January and might go well following a short break.
Bidding for a hat-trick Cosmos Raj commands respect following back-to-back wins over 1m1/2f at Wolverhampton.

Last-time-out Southwell (1m) runner-up Francesi could be in the mix. Others to note include the returning to action Warning SIgn and Yeoman.

Race 6 – MAHBOOB 4/10

MAHBOOB can make it two wins from two in the Tips For Every Race At raceday-ready.com Novice Stakes.

The four-year-old made an impressive debut for John and Thady Gosden over course and distance in December last year and can back that up with another trip to the winner’s enclosure.

Mahboob quickened up nicely in the final furlong to put the race to bed when beating Verbier by a neck.

Lakota Brave looks to be the chief danger as he tries to back up victory over the shorter mile trip at Newcastle last month under Hollie Doyle.

Race 7 – CHIEFMAN 72/100

The same combination of Doyle and trainer Archie Watson can gain compensation in the following Download The Raceday Ready App Handicap with CHIEFMAN.

The three-year-old came off an extended break to beat Lunar Rocks by four and a half lengths at Newcastle.

He can make it a quickfire double despite a 6lb penalty.

WARWICK

Race 1 – KRUGER PARK 5/10

KRUGER PARK can follow up his maiden victory as the two leading National Hunt trainers go head-to-head in a match race for the opening Join Racing TV Now Novices’ Hurdle.

Paul Nicholls’ six-year-old broke his duck in the Howden Supporting West Berkshire Mencap Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle at Newbury last month and is getting 7lb from Dan Skelton’s Market Rasen winner Theformismighty.

Freddie Gingell will take off a further 5lb, giving Kruger Park a significant advantage on heavy ground in the two-mile-five-furlong contest.

Race 2 – TWP STORI 13/10

TWP STORI seemingly appreciated stepping up to this trip when getting off the mark with hurdles at Fontwell recently.

There could be more to come from this unexposed six-year-old who looks set to defy a 7.7lb rise in the Celebration Of Pete Morgan Novices’ Limited Handicap Hurdle.

Young At Heart found the frame on both handicap outings to date at Southwell and could give a good account racing off 1.1lb lower than when third last time.

Recent Southwell third R Bernard stays well and cannot be dismissed despite racing from out the weights. Moonlight Artist also warrants consideration.

Race 4 – LEMONCELLO 15/10

LEMONCELLO can defy top weight and benefit from a drop in trip in the Weatherbys & Northampton Town FC Handicap Hurdle.

Giving 9lb to the field should not hamper the five-year-old on his debut for Venetia Williams despite not having raced since a seven-length victory over two miles and three furlongs in France last October for Hector de Lageneste and Guillaume Macaire.

Race 6 – KAPAL LAYAR 15/10

Olly Murphy does well with his jumpers flat horses and Milan gelding KAPAL LAYAR could make a winning debut in the Cheltenham & South West Racing Club ‘Newcomers’ National Hunt Flat Race.

Dangers will likely include the well-bred four-year-old Korus and English Willow who represents a stable noted in this sphere. Rupert’s Wish cannot be dismissed.
