Tuesday’s Best Bets and Tips- 23/08/2022

Neil Morrice provides us with his best bets for Tuesday’s racing at Bang-Or-Dee, Fontwell Park and Worcester on 23/08/2022.

BANGOR-ON-DEE – 23/08/2022

Race 5 No6 ZAMOND
Trainer: Donald McCain Jnr – Jockey: Brian Hughes

Former Irish-trained ZAMOND dug deep into his reserves to gain a first success for his trainer at Cartmel. He’s been in better form since being reequipped with cheek pieces, and off his revised mark can thwart the super-consistent Steel Wave.Race 6 No6 BRIDGE ROAD (Nap)

Race 6 No6 BRIDGE ROAD (Nap)
Trainer: Jennie Candlish – Jockey: Sean Quinlan

BRIDGE ROAD can experience a deserved change of luck after being beaten in photos on successive visits to Uttoxeter. He’s looked happier in himself since returning from a break, and has a good chance to make it third time lucky.

FONTWELL PARK – 23/08/2022

Race 1 No1 GEROMINO (Nap)
Trainer: Donald McCain Jnr – Jockey: Theo Gillard

GEROMINO landed the first and latest of his six outings over fences courtesy of some slick jumping. He can justify the long haul from the north west to floor Norte Pari in this evenly weighted match.

Race 6 No3 BELLE JOUR
Trainer: Chris Gordon – Jockey: Mr Fred Gordon

Being by Presenting, BELLE JOUR is bred to enjoy these quicker conditions and is proving a willing operator over both fences and hurdles for his local handler. A winner of a chase here at the end of May, he picked up another cheque back over hurdles at Worcester which was the first time his amateur pilot had ridden him on the track.

WORCESTER -23/08/2022

Race 2 No3 BOAGRIUS (Each Way)
Trainer: Tom George – Jockey: Jonathan Burke

Cardboard Gangster sets a high bar for the others to aim for but one that could surprise at double figure odds is BOAGRIUS. The latter was a dot on the horizon in his rival’s Stratford race but came back with a genuine excuse. He’s a good jumper and is a player if returning to his better form in the spring.

Race 6 No1 SHEILA NASH (Nap)
Trainer: Harry Whittington – Jockey: Daryl Jacob

Upwardly mobile SHEILA NASH has made hay during the mid summer period and can now complete a hat-trick of successes over this course and distance under a top rider that has forged a good bond with her. Having temporarily lost her way, the Flemensfirth mare bounced back with newer vigour in the spring and is poised for another big earning run under a penalty.
