WARWICK

Race 3 No4 JOSH THE BOSS
Trainer: Nigel Twiston-Davies – Jockey: Mr Jamie Nield

JOSH THE BOSS scored on his seasonal reappearance last year only to disappoint on four subsequent outings. It transpired he was suffering from a breathing issue, and while the cash that came for him went west at Chepstow last month he’s always looked the type that will be a better horse going over a fence, as he does today.

Race 5 No1 MILAN TINO (Nap)
Trainer: Tom George – Jockey: Jonathan Burke

MILAN TINO shaped with considerable promise on his debut for George at Worcester and now goes straight over fences and down the handicap route. When based in France he came over to run well in a trial for the Triumph Hurdle and in the Fred Winter at the Festival. He travelled well for a long way on his latest start before blowing up, and can make this a first victory at the tenth attempt.

Race 7 No7 DATSALRIGHTCHARLIE
Trainer: Jamie Snowden – Jockey: Gavin Sheehan

DATSALRIGHTCHARLIE scored on his first outing over hurdles at Huntingdon in March and ran well in defeat when returning in a novice hurdle at this course. His trainer is wasting no time in switching him into handicaps, and he’s a horse worth following.

REDCAR

Race 4 No2 ALCARATH (Nap)
Trainer: Alan King – Jockey: Rossa Ryan

ALCARATH is the most interesting runner on this card on a fourth career start and first run in a handicap. The gelding has improved from race to race and when opening his account at Epsom claimed the scalp of a 1-4 shot in Gamrai. However there was no fluke about the victory, and the Nap doesn’t look over faced in this new code in which he should have plenty more to give.

Race 6 No9 RAIN CAP (Each Way)
Trainer: John Riches – Jockey: Sean Kirrane

RAIN CAP is very much at his best at Catterick, but having been dropped after a couple of heavy defeats is worth backing to bounce back on his favoured easy ground. The visored gelding can arrive late on the scene to foil Diligent Harry.

LINGFIELD PARK

Race 7 No1 MOUNT MOGAN (Nap)
Trainer: Laura Mongan – Jockey: S D Bowen

MOUNT MOGAN is well berthed against the fence for a horse that likes to lead and has been dropped in the weights. He has the right man in his saddle to dominate this bottom grade race over 1600 metres.

WOLVERHAMPTON

Race 1 No3 NAUGHTY NIALL
Trainer: Ian Williams – Jockey: Toby Moore

Moore wasted no time in riding a first winner and the son of Ryan Moore gets another chance aboard NAUGHTY NIALL whose watchword is consistency. After five consecutive earning efforts on turf the selection ran well to trouble the judge over course and distance last month, and he can do better.

Race 5 No2 MY FERMOY
Trainer: Denis Coakley – Jockey: Rob Hornby

MY FERMOY can play the experience card to full effect on a return to sand. The selection upped his game to finish second in a Nottingham maiden and can parry the challenge of another with three runs under his belt in the Charlie Appleby-trained Native Spirit.

Race 8 No10 KINGSCLERE (Nap)
Trainer: James Ferguson – Jockey: Daniel Muscutt

KINGSCLERE has shown with podium finishes at Ffos Las and Lingfield that the handicap arena is suiting her. Granted a tad more progression the Kitten’s Joy filly can open her account in the Qatar Racing colours.
