HEREFORD
Race 2 No1 EVERYONESGAME (Nap)
Trainer: Emma Lavelle – Jockey: Ben Jones
EVERYONESGAME had loomed as a threat to the eventual winner when unseating three from home at Kempton, but is none to worse for the error and strongly fancied to make amends in this weaker race. Apart from that one mistake he had jumped safely, and he can show that the losses were merely lent.
Race 6 No6 SIDE STEPPER (Each Way)
Trainer: Christian Williams – Jockey: Jack Tudor
SIDE STEPPER is much longer priced than his barnmate Cave Article but has stable jockey Tudor doing the steering which is a tip in itself. He needed his latest outing at Chepstow, and should appreciate this move up to an extended three miles.
Race 7 No2 SINCHI ROCA
Trainer: Anthony Charlton – Jockey: Harry Cobden
Unbeaten in a point and a bumper, SINCHI ROCA has bags of scope and can prove to be a bet worth waiting for in the nightcap. He’s got his tail up, and a 7lb penalty shouldn’t anchor him.
NEWTON ABBOT
Race 3 No5 MIGHTY FLEUR
Trainer: Peter Bowen – Jockey: Sean Bowen
Scorpion mare MIGHTY FLEUR has made the podium on each of her three outings in bumpers and now makes the switch to hurdling as the form horse in this mares’ maiden hurdle. As long as her jumping holds up it looks a straightforward task for her.
Race 5 No2 INVESTMENT MANAGER (Nap)
Trainer: Joe Tizzard – Jockey: Brendan Powell
Although he’s carded to start as the outsider of three, INVESTMENT MANAGER is with his five course wins a standing dish at this track and can defy the odds. He hasn’t been at his best on his last two starts, but this accurate jumper is the one you want to be with in a tactical affair, as this race looks sure to become.
LINGFIELD PARK
Race 2 No4 DISCLOSURE
Trainer: James Owen – Jockey: Mason Paetel
DISCLOSURE made no mistake on his first outing for the upwardly mobile Owen at this course only to disappoint in her follow-up attempt at Southwell on Monday. It’s a gamble running her again this quickly, but a return to her winning terrain could see her bounce back.
Race 3 No2 HAVANA JOY (Nap)
Trainer: Charlie Hills – Jockey: Jason Watson
Havana Grey filly HAVANA JOY ran into one last time to make it two near misses on the bounce. There could be one or two preferred to her in the betting which makes her the value option to deservedly open her account for a stable that’s amongst the winners.
Race 6 No3 ANCIENT STATE
Trainer: Martin Dunne – Jockey: Charles Bishop
Dandy Man gelding ANCIENT STATE was not inconvenienced by a drop back to 1000 metres when scoring a first career success at Wolverhampton where he was also assisted by having his tongue tied down. He finished off his race strongly, to suggest this move back up to six furlongs will benefit him.
Race 7 No5 SKYELIGHT
Trainer: Dean Ivory – Jockey: Saffie Osborne
SKYELIGHT put n a personal best when third at Wolverhampton back in November and is ready to build on the promise of that run. The Earthlight filly was returning from a break on that occasion, and she should be fit enough on this return from a five month absence.
