LINGFIELD PARK

Race 2 No1 GOLDSMITH (Nap)
Trainer: Alice Haynes – Jockey: Kieran O’Neill

GOLDSMITH has been getting his act together and looked good value for his Southwell triumph last week. He faces a doughty opponent in Inverlochy, but is in the mood to complete a fine hat-trick.

Race 3 No5 MUMAYAZ
Trainer: Tony Carroll – Jockey: William Carson

MUMAYAZ hasn’t enjoyed the rub of the green but this looks his best winning chance for a while. Figures of 22422-2 paint a misleading picture, as he’s perfectly genuine and can deservedly take the spoils.

Race 6 No5 EM JAY KAY
Trainer: Phil McEntee – Jockey: Josephine Gordon

EM JAY KAY rapped the crossbar at Kempton earlier in the month and should welcome a return to Lingfield, where he hasn’t raced very often. He’s on his favourite surface, and can make this a first success in almost a year.

HEREFORD

Race 1 No6 KATATE DORI (Each Way)
Trainer: Sam Thomas – Jockey: Sam Twiston-Davies

KATATE DORI went out very quickly in the straight after being heavily supported at Chepstow and is on something of a recovery mission. He’s well regarded and should have much more to offer for a stable that has a good record at this course.

Race 5 No4 BENNY SILVER (Nap)
Trainer: Nigel Twiston-Davies – Jockey: Sam Twiston-Davies

BENNY SILVER holds strong claims to take out this two mile handicap chase in the colours of his trainer. He spent all season on the cusp of a breakthrough success, and will get few better opportunities as his rivals are mainly out of form.

WOLVERHAMPTON

Race 3 No3 IT’S NOT RISKY
Trainer: Hugo Palmer – Jockey: Jason Hart

IT’S NOT RISKY started the New Year in the best possible way when scoring at Southwell. He’s improved for the fitting of a visor which has helped him earn in all three of his starts on sand. This isn’t the strongest of races, and he can follow-up.

Race 4 No1 MASTER DANDY (Nap)
Trainer: James Fanshawe – Jockey: Ross Coakley

the most interesting horse on view on this card is MASTER DANDY. The Dandy Man gelding landed some good bets at Newcastle, and though having to dig into his reserves for the win impressed with his attitude. He should have no problem in outclassing his foes.
