The 58-year-old left Liverpool in 2024 due to him “running out of energy,” and he needed some time to rest. He cut his rest short as last year in January 2025, he joined Red Bull as Global Head of Soccer.

Speaking to Servus TV, Klopp said, “My phone did actually ring – but not from Madrid.

“There were, however, a few people who felt they needed to bring it up with me.”

Football fans believe Jurgen Klopp is the perfect candidate because his resume delivers everywhere he goes.

He took Mainz to the Bundesliga for the first time, turned Borussia Dortmund into back-to-back Bundesliga champions with multiple domestic trophies, and restored Liverpool to the world football summit by winning the Premier League and Champions League.

Alonso and Real Madrid management agreed to part ways on Monday, January 12, after he had been with the club for seven months, due to poor results, internal tensions, and disagreements over his coaching style and authority, including reported conflicts with a few players, Vinicius Jr., Federico Valverde, and Jude Bellingham.

Right now, Alvaro Arbeloa is coaching Madrid’s first team. He joined the club as a youth player in 1993 and returned as a coach in 2020, working in the club’s youth academy to help develop some of Spain’s most promising talents. In June 2025, he was promoted to manage Real Madrid Castilla, the reserve team.
