Confirmed 2026 F1 Sprint Events:

March 13–15: Shanghai, China

May 1–3: Miami, USA

May 22–24: Montreal, Canada

July 3–5: Silverstone, Great Britain

August 21–23: Zandvoort, Netherlands

October 9–11: Singapore, Singapore

Shanghai and Miami retain their Sprint status for the third consecutive year, reflecting their popularity and logistical efficiency. Montreal returns to the Sprint calendar for the first time since the format’s introduction in 2021, while Silverstone makes its return after a hiatus since 2021.

Zandvoort and Singapore are set to host their inaugural Sprint weekends, adding fresh excitement to the calendar.

Notably absent from the 2026 Sprint calendar are the Sao Paulo Grand Prix at Interlagos and the United States Grand Prix in Austin, both of which have previously hosted Sprint events.

This shift reflects ongoing adjustments to the Sprint format and its alignment with the broader objectives of the championship.

Stefano Domenicali, President and CEO of Formula 1, expressed enthusiasm about the evolving Sprint format: “The F1 Sprint has continued to grow in positive impact and popularity since it was introduced in 2021,” said Domenicali.

“With four competitive sessions rather than two during a conventional grand prix weekend, F1 Sprint events offer more action each day for our fans, broadcast partners, and for the promoters, driving increased attendance and viewership.”

FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem echoed this sentiment, highlighting the Sprint’s role in enhancing the championship’s appeal: “The Sprint format has become an increasingly exciting part of the FIA Formula One World Championship, delivering high-intensity racing and added entertainment for fans around the world,” said Ben Sulayem.

“The inclusion of new venues alongside returning favourites reflects the continued enthusiasm from promoters, teams, and fans alike.”

As the 2026 season approaches, teams and fans alike can look forward to a dynamic and action-packed calendar, with the Sprint format continuing to play a pivotal role in shaping the modern F1 experience.
