PLUMPTON

Race 1 No9 SOLDIER OF DESTINY (Nap)
Trainer: Jamie Snowden – Jockey: Gavin Sheehan

SOLDIER OF DESTINY will divert here if Southwell falls to the freeze and must have a great chance to open his account for the season. He returns to hurdles from fences on favourable terms, and can gain a confidence-lifting triumph before going back over fences.

Race 7 No11 ROGUE QUEEN
Trainer: Harry Whittington – Jockey: Nico de Boinville

Malvinas filly ROGUE QUEEN ran above her roughie status to beat all but Spring Note on her Warwick introduction last month and is more streetwise now. Her stable is doing well with its runners following temporary closure, and she can prove more than a match for well-regarded newcomer Country Lady.

LINGFIELD PARK

Race 1 No3 MUMAYAZ
Trainer: Tony Carroll – Jockey: Luke Morris

MUMAYAZ couldn’t get his head in front in seven starts after importing from Ireland, but might enjoy better luck on his first outing for a new trainer here. His Irish form reads well in the context of what he needs to achieve today, and from a good draw he’s the undoubted joker in the pack.

Race 2 No4 SAMBA LADY
Trainer: David Loughnane – Jockey: Daniel Musccutt

SAMBA LADY attracted support on her first outing at Windsor back in April when taking home a minor cheque in the race won by Miss American Pie. The daughter of Kodi Bear has been off the radar ever since, but needs to be respected and can give hot favourite Shikhova plenty to think about.

WOLVERHAMPTON

Race 2 No4 SELF ACLAIM (Nap)
Trainer: Hugo Palmer – Jockey: Ross Coakley

Godolphin’s Pherenikos will start at prohibitive odds but might be stretched to deal with SELF ACLAIM, who looked as if the run would do him good when chasing home Wiltshire on debut at Wolverhampton. In a three-cornered contest in which Tiger Bay is also not out of it, the selection looks the best value option.

Race 5 No2 COMPLIANT
Trainer: James Fanshawe- Jockey: William Buick

Pivotal filly COMPLIANT readily delivered on handicap bow and on a first visit to Newcastle last month. The success maintained her progression from race to race, and there should be more to come as she returns to the track off her revised mark.

Race 7 No6 VITESSE DU SON
Trainer: Alice Haynes – Jockey: Mark Crehan

VITESSE DU SON has been a model of consistency, threatening to score on two of his three attempts since switching to the all-weather. The five-year-old prefers this track, and has a good draw from which to be competitive.
