The clock is ticking, and Manchester United are running out of time. How much longer can the club afford to watch this decline without taking decisive action?

Why continue down the same road while the team is falling apart right before our eyes?

United have now gone nine consecutive matches without a win under Michael Carrick, recording six defeats and three draws. This is the club’s worst winless run since 1984, a statistic that tells you just how deep the crisis has become.

In a sit-down interview, Sky Sports chief correspondent Kaveh Solhekol believes that United’s problems go far beyond the manager.

Changing Carrick might not magically fix anything because the issues are deeply rooted in the club’s recruitment, leadership, squad mentality, and overall football structure.

“I would like to see Carrick keep his job because he’s just the latest fall guy. It’s not his fault United are in the position that they’re in.

“You bring in another new manager, they’re going to have to work with the same group of players. It is what it is at Manchester United.

“I think they should back Carrick and say to the players inside that dressing room who have fallen out with him, he is the manager.

“He’s not going anywhere. Everybody knows what Manchester United going to do this season? They’re  going to finish mid-table or maybe even get relegated. They’re going to be , you know , in a relegation dog fight.

“I don’t think whether it’s Carrick or whether it’s Eddie Howe or whether it’s Julian Nagelsmann is going to make that much of a difference because the manager is not the problem at Manchester United”.

United are currently sitting in 17th place, just above the relegation zone. It is still too early to make any final judgement because anything can happen .Over the last 10 years, United have had several managers, including Jose Mourinho, Ole Gunnar Solskjær, Michael Carrick, Ralf Rangnick, Erik ten Hag, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Ruben Amorim and Darren Fletcher. Only two of them won major trophies with the club.

Mourinho won three trophies, while Ten Hag won two, bringing the total to five trophies in the last decade.

It’s rumored that Carrick’s position could be reviewed during the international break. The Red Devils are set to face Roma in the UEFA Champions League at Old Trafford on Tuesday, followed by their Premier League match against Aston Villa on Sunday,  November 8, at Old Trafford.
