LINGFIELD PARK
Race 4 No4 CHAPMAN’S PEAK
Trainer: Ed Dunlop – Jockey: Rossa Ryan
Though having to cope with a draw that is wider than ideal, CHAPMAN’S PEAK can return to winning ways and make it a third AW triumph. He served notice that his turn is at hand when getting closest to a long odds on scorer here last week, and is fancied to go be better.
Race 5 No2 DIALSTONE (Nap)
Trainer: Ralph Beckett – Jockey: Rossa Ryan
It’s hard to look past DIALSTONE, who when made favourite at Kempton ran into a very useful Godolphin-owned horse in Fortitudine. It’s hard to believe there’s a rival of that quality laying in wait for the Nap, who should on this third start take care of business.
MUSSELBURGH
Race 3 No1 AMBER HAMUR
Trainer: Ed Bethell – Jockey: Connor Beasley
As the only bet on this card, AMBER HAMUR can complete a hat-trick. The Saxon Warrior filly hasn’t looked back since having her attention switched to turf, and in three starts for her trainer has finished second at Beverley and scored at Hamilton and Ripon. She’s landed some good bets in the process and is racing at the same level, over the same distance and on identical ground.
STRATFORD
Race 1 No6 GUTS AND GLORY
Trainer: Clive Boultbee-Brooks – Jockey: Stan Sheppard
GUTS AND GLORY has her tongue tied down on her return to action in this mares’ maiden hurdle. This longer trip can help enable her to notch a first success under Rules, especially if she relaxes which was not the case when she was out of the money at Chepstow in April.
Race 3 No4 IN THIS WORLD (Nap)
Trainer: Rob Summers – Jockey: James Best
The best bet on the card is IN THIS WORLD who can down multiple scorer and odds-on favourite Beorma. The Nap looked to be moving best when falling here at the end of May and ranks a winner without a penalty. He’s well treated on his old form when trained by Dan Skelton.
Race 5 No2 YOUDECIDE
Trainer: Ben Pauling – Jockey: Ben Jones
YOUDECIDE doesn’t always find much at the business end of his races and he paid the price for going off too fast when pulled up at Wetherby. The six-year-old reverts to two and a half miles here, and if adopting a more controlled round of jumping can deliver a first success over fences.
