The first set lasted about 65 minutes and was very close, with both players holding serve before Zverev won the tiebreak 9-7.
The second set was another tight battle, but Sinner played an excellent tiebreak to win it 7-2 and level the match.

In the third set, Sinner broke Zverev’s serve for the first time after Zverev slipped and hurt his knee. Zverev did not take a medical timeout and continued playing, but Sinner won the set 6-3.

In the fourth set, Sinner stayed calm, broke serve again, and won 6-4 to defend his Wimbledon title and claim his fifth Grand Slam trophy.

Addressing the media and the crowd during his post-match interview, Sinner said,” Standing here, you can feel the nerves on a Sunday morning when you wake up.

β€œIt is a very, very special day. You never know how many times you can come back on Sunday. I never take things for granted.”

The next Grand Slam on the tennis calendar is the US Open, which will be played in New York from August 30 to September 13. World No. 1 Jannik Sinner will be aiming to add another major title to his trophy collection.
