HEREFORD

Race 3 No4 AFTER MANY DAYS (Nap)

Trainer: Henry Daly – Jockey: Sam Twiston-Davies

AFTER MANY DAYS has done nothing wrong in carding figures of 42422 this season. She’s thoroughly genuine and just been unlucky to run into a couple of improving types. Aside from LYDEARD GIRL, who has also struggled to win, it’s hard to see where a similar danger is coming from.

Race 6 No2 TOP COEUR

Trainer: Christian Williams – Jockey: Jack Tudor

TOP COEUR brings good form to the party on a first run out of Ireland, and for a new trainer. He’s lightly raced and unexposed for this first foray into handicap company and can prove too strong for WOLF MOON to handle, although that one should have benefitted from a recent breathing operation.

Race 7 No6 TONGAKNOXIE (Each Way)

Trainer: Philip Hobbs – Jockey: Callum Pritchard

TONGAKNOXIE is another to return to the track after having his breathing fixed and it might make a big difference to him. He also gets his tongue tied down, and has been freshened up by a short break. He’s one to keep an eye on for a market move.

HUNTINGDON

Race 1 No4 GLENGOLLY

Trainer: Billy Aprahamian – Jockey: Gavin Sheehan

GLENGOLLY has run well in the main throughout the season and runs here for the first time since her debut back in 2023. If reproducing form close to his Hereford win in December he’ll be hard to beat, but he needs to show he is as effective on drying ground.

Race 4 No7 SECRET SNIPER (Nap)

Trainer: Hughie Morrison – Jockey: Jonathan Burke

Let’s hope SECRET SNIPER performs better than his brother Secret Squirrel did at Cheltenham last week. My tip for the County Hurdle made costly jumping errors, but today his body double can bring compensation to his stable. There was plenty to like about his three efforts in bumpers before a first run over hurdles at Wincanton that is better than it looked. He only weakened in the closing stages and figures to be dangerous in this clash with WANDERING EGO.

Race 7 No15 ST MARY’S WANTAGE (Each Way)

Trainer: Nicky Henderson – Jockey: James Bowen

I’ve always bemoaned the dismantling of ST MARY’S WANTAGE to make way for housing but maybe the Walk In The Park filly can in her racing career revive memories of a school where, amongst others in our sport, trainer Henrietta Knight taught biology. There are good vibes following the filly to post for this first run under Rules.

KEMPTON PARK

Race 1 No2 MOONSHINE

Traner: Ed Walker – Jockey: Kieran Shoemark

This should be pretty straightforward for MOONSHINE, who brings a toxic appeal to the table in the colours of Highclere Thoroughbreds. The Starman filly was overturned when a hot favourite on her AW debut at Lingfield, but has learned plenty from it.

Race 2 No6 NEW MONARCH (Nap)

Trainer: Andrew Balding – Jockey: Oisin Murphy

NEW MONARCH holds an experience edge over his opponents in a race his trainer won with a good horse in 2025. The son of Acclamation troubled the judge on each of his first three starts before again claiming a cheque in a valuable Sales race at the Curragh. His form makes him an automatic choice to open his account.

Race 4 No5 SARAB STAR

Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: Tom Marquand

Channon will look to SARAB STAR to be a standard bearer out of West Ilsley this year and the Zoustar colt is strongly fancied to add to his good record on Polytrack. He was a cosy winner on his first all-weather run at this venue, and returned to finished second to the smart Chancellor in a Class2. He signed off by landing some good bets at Wolverhampton in November, and has worked like a Listed class horse at home.

Race 8 No1 KING’S HAND

Trainer: Joseph Parr – Jockey: Luke Morris

The hooded KING’S HAND fits the bill for the nightcap as a lightly raced improver. He ran well on debut for his trainer at Lingfield on the final day of February, and can build on that satisfactory effort to send favourite backers home happy.
