Monaco struck first just before half-time when Mamadou Coulibaly threaded a precise through ball to Maghnes Akliouche, who finished first time via the post. Earlier, Akliouche had teed up Coulibaly, only for the midfielder to fire over the bar.
The match shifted just before the hour mark. Coulibaly, already booked three minutes earlier, was shown a second yellow for a tackle on Achraf Hakimi, reducing Monaco to 10 men. PSG equalised almost immediately, Marquinhos converting from a low cross by Desire Doue.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia secured the win in the 66th minute, finishing from close range after Hakimi’s effort was parried by Philipp Kohn. Jordan Teze added a stoppage-time consolation as the tie ended 5-4 on aggregate.
PSG will face either Chelsea or Barcelona in Friday’s knockout draw.
“Of course we can and want to improve, but there is also always an opponent and we knew how difficult it would be,” said PSG coach Luis Enrique.
“The next one will be easier, no? Chelsea or Barca – not bad. But if any team is ready, it is us.”

Galatasaray reached the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League after defeating Juventus in a dramatic extra-time encounter at the Allianz Stadium.
Trailing 5-2 from the first leg in Istanbul, Juventus attempted to become only the fourth club to overturn a three-goal knockout deficit.

Federico Gatti later converted Pierre Kalulu’s cross, and Weston McKennie headed in to level the tie at 5-5 on aggregate.
However, the hosts were reduced to 10 men when Lloyd Kelly was sent off after a VAR review.
In extra time, Victor Osimhen struck low after an assist from Barış Yılmaz, who then sealed victory by beating Mattia Perin late on.
Galatasaray will now face either Liverpool or Tottenham Hotspur, marking their first appearance at this stage since 2013-14.
