After the match, Carlos Alcaraz said that this year he came in hungry to win more titles while speaking to the media. “It’s been a really strong start to the year. It wasn’t easy, I had to be strong mentally with my team.

“I’m just playing great tennis and I’m really happy about this week. This trophy means a lot to me.”

Alcaraz started playing tennis at around four years old at his local club in Spain and turned professional in 2018 at just 15 years old.
