KEMPTON PARK

Race 2 No9 MOONSHINE MAN
Trainer: Henrietta Knight – Jockey: Brendan Powell

This track should play to the strengths of MOONSHINE MAN who is unexposed as a chaser and deserves a change of luck. He’s finished second at Sedgefield and Leicester and though weakening at the end of a second visit to that track might well appreciate a crack at this longer trip of three miles.

Race 3 No2 STEP AHEAD (Nap)
Trainer: Kim Bailey – Jockey: Ciaran Gethings

STEP AHEAD has lived up to the promise he showed in two bumper starts by finishing second and winning in as many outings over hurdles for his new trainer. He downed a well regarded opponent in Just Golden at Chepstow where the principals came clear, and can make it back to back successes on the way to better things.

Race 6 No4 WALK TALL
Trainer: Joe Tizzard – Jockey: Brendan Powell

Although he is an embryonic chaser, WALK TALL should pay to follow in handicap hurdles for the remainder of this season. The former Irish pointer winner has been over faced on three races over hurdles at Grade 1 tracks and will surely think he’s in calmer waters here. He’s a big horse that has needed time to mature into his frame, and is definitely one to follow whatever happens today.

SOUTHWELL

Race 3 No9 TREAD CAREFULLY (Nap)
Trainer: Nigel Twiston-Davies – Jockey: Sam Twiston-Davies

TREAD CAREFULLY put in a solid effort when chasing home odds on Hurricane Pat at Sandown which is the best form on offer in this race. He then underwhelmed at Leicester only to come away with a genuine excuse. After a two month mid season break he’s ready to bounce back.

Race 4 No2 FOURONEOHFEVER
Trainer: Ben Pauling – Jockey: Kielan Woods

FOURONEOHFEVER ran well to a point when trying to match it with long odds on Sinnatra at Sandown. Beaten when he fell at the last, he can build on that as he’s up against nothing of the calibre of the horse that beat him.

Race 6 No9 MOTAZZEN (Each Way)
Trainer: Henrietta Knight – Jockey: Robbie Dunne

Three times hurdle winner MOTAZZEN has knocked on the door a few times this season and could experience a deserved change of luck getting weight from his opponents after indicating with an earning run at Fontwell that he’s on the brink of another success. He was short of room at a crucial stage in that race, yet was only beaten a total of three lengths.

WOLVERHAMPTON

Race 4 No2 LATIN (Nap)
Trainer: James Owen – Jockey: Paddy Bradley

In eleven starts since the early autumn LATIN has gained four successes on sand and another on grass. He returns to Dunstall Park after an impressive hat-trick at the course and showed in edging out the in form Imola last time that he is better than ever. He moves up a band on the class ladder, but it shouldn’t stop him.

Race 6 No4 EASTER ICON
Trainer: Gary Brown – Jockey: George Bass

EASTER ICON looked out of his comfort zone when underwhelming in a couple of handicap hurdles, but prior to that had taken out back to back AW races at Southwell and Lingfield. He notched his only success at this course following a lay off two years ago, and with a jockey that knows him well on board he could serve up a repeat.

Race 7 No12 BLUE MOUNTAINS (Each Way)
Trainer: Marco Botti – Jockey: Jack Nicholls

BLUE MOUNTAINS put in a career best when troubling the judge on latest start here last month. It was just a sixth ever race for the Blue Point filly who can prove troublesome to the best of these from her place at the foot of the weights.
