FULL VELOCITY stayed on when fourth in the Grade 3 Betway Merchants last time. She returns from a 12-week break which would have done her the world of good. She has won twice, finished second once and third once from six starts over this C&D. The daughter of Philanthropist races well fresh and she can notch up her eighth career victory.

BLUE WATERS was not disgraced when fourth in a Graduation Plate over 1200m on the Vaal Classic course last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. She has won once and finished second once from as many starts on this course. The daughter of What A Winter will be at peak fitness and back in Handicap Company, she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.

SILVANO’S SONG ran on strongly when winning his maiden at the fourth time of asking. The son of Silvano will be at home over this distance. He does take on stronger, but is lightly raced and has plenty of scope. Kabelo Matsunyane retains the ride and the combination can follow up.
