FONTWELL PARK

Race 1 No4 GAVROCHE D’ALLIER (Each Way)
Trainer: Milton Harris – Jockey: Jamie Brace

GAVROCHE D’ALLIER hails from a yard doing well with its small team of handicappers. Having started at 100-1, 100-1 and 66-1 in consecutive races he was the subject of on-course support before finishing third to Pearly Island at Huntingdon where he raised his game in first-time cheek pieces. Granted a step forward from that he can open his account for his trainer,

Race 2 No1 UNIT SIXTYFOUR (Nap)
Trainer: Ben Pauling – Jockey: Beau Morgan

UNIT SIXTYFOUR looks a good bet to complete a hat-trick and give this stable consolation for the poor showing of Slipway on Saturday. The selection carries a 7lb penalty for a recent course success, but that’s eradicated by his conditional rider’s claim, while a tongue strap is now added.

Race 5 No6 SAN FERMIN
Trainer: Olly Murphy – Jockey: Aidan Coleman

Tapley makes a quick reappearance after running well in defeat last week but might not be able to handle SAN FERMIN. The latter returns from an enforced absence of almost 500 days but will not lack for fitness. Furthermore, he had very good form in bumpers and maiden hurdles when last seen and is the figures pick.

CARLISLE

Race 2 No1 ESCAPEANDEVADE (Nap)
Trainer: James Ewart – Jockey: Brian Hughes

ESCAPEANDEVADE looked to score with more in hand than his margin of victory indicates at Ayr where for the third time in as many starts he was strong in the betting market. He looks destined to be a better chaser than hurdler, and can make it 2 from 3 in this four-cornered affair.

Race 7 No3 JUDICIAL REVIEW
Trainer: James Moffatt – Jockey: Charlotte Jones

JUDICIAL REVIEW has the points on the board regarding experience taking on an interesting newcomer in Moonlit Park, for whom a market check is advised. The selection opened his account in good style on debut for his handler at Sedgefield and should have more under his bonnet.

WOLVERHAMPTON

Race 4 No10 STEVENSON (Each Way)
Trainer: Jamie Osborne – Jockey: Saffie Osborne

This stable has done well with another purchase out of the Channon stable in Milltown Star, and it will be fascinating to see how STEVENSON gets on making a first start for them. Although unable to add to his Polytrack triumph at Kempton the selection is now making a first return to the all-weather and needs to be taken seriously as he has plenty of ability.

Race 5 No1 MINT EDITION (Nap)
Trainer: Ed Bethell – Jockey: Callum Rodriguez

MINT EDITION was an authoritative scorer at Newcastle last week to make his record 311 on the all-weather at that track. It’s no surprise to see connections out to strike while the iron’s hot under a penalty, and he should make no mistake.

Race 7 No11 SICARIO
Trainer: Mike Appleby – Jockey: Oisin Orr

SICARIO was doing all his best work at the finish when chasing home Owen’s Lad at Southwell last week. That was a ninth earning run in ten starts for his trainer, and if getting the rub of the green he should go one better. He’s not the most straightforward individual and much depends on timing his run to put him in front as late as possible.
