CHIRON should be cherry-ripe having his third run after a rest and from his neat draw is capable of confirming his recent improvement. M M JOHNNY was a beaten favourite last time when a few lengths behind Happy Trio. He has cracked a neat draw and will be looking to make amends in this opening contest.

ALLOY KING followed up his recent win with a fair effort when a couple of lengths behind Loriz. He is holding his condition well and should give another good account of himself. RAGING BLAZE is still winless which is a concern but he finished positively in his last outing and could be one to cause an upset.
13:45 – Race 3 | Class 4 | 1650m

The grey LEGION OF MERIT has been racing well for Ho recently and is likely to find a handy position from gate three. TURIN WARRIOR wasn’t disgraced last time when 2.5 lengths behind the winner. He has good prior form lines to his credit and it will be no surprise to see him go close in this line-up.
14:15 – Race 4 | Class 4 | 1200m

E BROTHER won by the narrowest of margins last time defeating Fighting Star. He has reeled off two wins under De Sousa this season and should be one of the leading contenders. HARMONY N HOME was beaten just under a length last time out. It is encouraging that Teetan has kept faith in the ride and this Shum-trained inmate can challenge the top selection.
14:45 – Race 5 | Class 4 | 1650m

VIVA POPCORN managed to finish in front of RIVER VIEWS last time. This chestnut is nicely weighted with apprentice Chung aboard and merits healthy respect. VILLA FIONN was beaten just over a length last time and from pole is a genuine contender in Class 4.
15:15 – Race 6 | Class 4 | 1200m

ALLGREEKTOME was beaten just under a length by the progressive Prime Mortar. He has shown a clear affinity for this course and looks one of the better bets on the card. HAPPY SOUL won his last start under Hewitson and from his neat draw could be one to fill the exacta spot.
15:45 – Race 7 | Class 4 | 1200m

FLYING ON THE TURF has won his last two starts under Purton and the hat-trick is definitely on the cards for the current Hong Kong Jockey Champion. He takes a slight step up in class and should be up to the task at hand. COMPASSION SUPER followed up his recent win well when beaten a neck by Righteous Arion. He comes in at the top of the weights and will benefit from the urgings of Bowman.
16:15 – Race 8 | Class 3 | 1650m

SOLAR WINDS produced a good-second place finish behind the talented Beauty Eternal last time. He steps up to a mile and is still fairly unexposed on this course. AMAZING ONE PLUS and SILVER HAMMER finished alongside each other last time. There is only 1kg difference at the weights and there shouldn’t be too much separating them when they hit the line.
16:50 – Race 9 | Class 3 | 1200m

MARK THE MOMENT is a big strider and has placed in his last two starts under Teetan. It is interestingly his first run at “The Valley” and definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. NORDIC DRAGON didn’t see out 1400m when a beaten favourite last time. He drops back to 1200m and must also be strongly considered in the lucky last!
