DOUGLAS DEVASTATOR is the best bet on the programme. He challenged strongly in his last start over 1600m, but found one too good in the form of Equestrian Affair. The son of Mambo In Seattle finished third in his only attempt over this C&D. He will strip a much fitter horse and from barrier two, he should shed his maiden tag.
Race 3: GOLIGHTLY (1)
Jockey: R Fourie – Trainer: A Greef
GOLIGHTLY showed good signs of a form return in her last start over 2000m on the turf. She had to be eased at the start, but stayed on nicely at the business end. Three of her five career victories have come on this course. Richard Fourie retains the ride and with a bit of luck in running, she can go one better.
Race 6: AL QAASIM (2)
Jockey: R Munger – Trainer: Z Oosthuizen
AL QAASIM’S last two starts have been good. He set the pace over this C&D last time, but was outrun by Naval Secret. He meets a similar field this afternoon and with Ryan Munger retaining the ride, he can go one better.
Race 7: CELTILLUS (2)
Jockey: R Fourie – Trainer: A Greef
CELTILLUS has good consistent form lines to his credit. He was reported to be coughing post-race last time. He has won twice and finished second once from four starts over this C&D. He jumps from pole position and can notch up his seventh career victory.

BIG SKY COUNTRY ran a fair race in her last start over 1200m on the turf. The manner in which she stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. She has dropped to a competitive rating and from her good draw of two, she may be the one to close off the meeting.
