Episode 5 of Aryna Sabalenka’s racket-smashing story came immediately after her 2026 US Open defeat to Elena Rybakina, when she smashed her racket in frustration after losing the final.

At the 2026 Cincinnati Open, she suffered a tight Round-of-16 defeat to rising Czech star Sara Bejlek. Frustrated during a late-night tiebreak, she threw her racket, causing an unusual delay when the racket’s dampener flew onto the court.
